Taylor unwilling to take pay cut?

Jason Taylor | Redskins | Interested: Dolphins?
After one disappointing season for the Washington Redskins where he had a career-low 29 tackles, defensive end Jason Taylor will likely be asked to take a pay cut if he wants to stay with the team, a source tells Jason La Confora of the Washington Post.

Of course, several of Taylor's teammates have also told La Confora that they do not expect Taylor to return to Washington under those terms, and that he'd prefer to test the free agency waters. Some have speculated that he'd like to play in a 3-4 scheme in a warmer climate, and would possibly take a discounted salary to finish his career in Miami. Of course, that would mean reuniting with Bill Parcells, with whom Taylor certainly has an interesting history.

i certrainly would like taylor to come back on one year deal to finish his career in Miami. He will certainly help and being back home and being on a better team than his last few years in Miami makes it more intriguing. He can also help cameron wake with his NFL game as a 3-4 DE/OLB

The Dancing Queen can kiss my backside. Dancing Queen made his bed now he has to sleep in it, he wanted to go to a "contender" because he felt the franchise that gave him EVERYTHING was now "below" him and "not worthy" of his services. He can go find another contender, because he's not welcome here anymore.

Ithink we now can all agree that a Dancing competition does not prepare a player for a NFL season!

I personally would rather move forward but for cheap he would be a force opposite Porter.

While I still have a lot of respect for him professionally and personally, we've turned the page, Period!!!!

I seem to remember all of finheaven saying they didnt want ricky back when we had the chance a few years ago, then we got him back and everyone was happy. With that being said, i would take him back in a heart beat because it upgrades our team and hes not a cancer in the locker room.

JT won't be a Dolphin, he's a cancer and he has played poorly the last two years.

We need youth and a winning attitude, not a guy that wants to be a dancer and complains all the time.

Not sure. Despite his actions last year, he will still go down as one of my favorite Dolphin players of all time. I am not sure bringing him back would be a good idea. Sure he would help out, but he was a player we had to move to take the next step forward. I think his time as a Miami Dolphin is done.

If he were to come back here, he would have to participate in all mini camp and TC practices and earn a role on this team. He could come back as a situational player and not a starter.

My hope is that he just retires.

I never said that about Ricky. Been my favorite offensive player on this team since Marino. And as of right now, not EVERYONE is happy he is even on the team now. So don't say ALL or everyone, bc its never the case on this site.

That being said, I would not take JT back. No way. He wanted to be better known for his acting career, let him get an early start on it.

played poorly?? he was Defensive player of the year what 2 years ago??? we are getting youth, if you can get him for cheap and have him help the younger guys for one year, wont that be worth it?

I see no reason for him to retire yet. he is only one year removed from having a very good season and two from defensive player of the year. he was banged up all year so i would not write him off yet. I would not risk alot of money to find out either way

Wow, seriously? I agree Jason loves himself, but he was also a terrific player and leader both for the Dolphins and in the Miami community. I think he deserevs to be treated a little better than that by Dolphin fans.

I just say no 2 the dancing princess. It would be just like getting back with an old girlfriend... it would never work... besides, I dont like him anymore!!
