I bet he retires.

He's already signed a movie deal.

Jax, Saints and San Diego are wooing him but in all honesty I think he's done.

Oh, I do have an inside source so this is pretty reliable. Of course I am leaking this when I shouldnt be so this is all I can say.

whhhhhhatever you say......

Jason Taylor will make more money in the next 2 years playing football (17million) then he will make being in movies. I don't believe he is going to retire this season. My inside source is my gut......

What movie? If this is true this is a total embarrassment and adds insult to injury for the dancing queen

he'll play next year. i like what we are doing asking for a 1st rounder. we're saying that he is that important to our team, and clayton hit the nail on the head last night. he said that a 3rd or 4th rd pick won't help replace JT. if we don't get a first or at least a 2nd, then we're better off keeping him b/c of what he brings to the team. no use just dumping him b/c of his age. we should only let him go if we get the value we want, period. i like it.

JT is a football player, a real football player, he will play until his skills don't allow him to. He knows aswell as anyone he can only play football for 3-5 more years and then has a lifetime to persue a career in Hollywood or whatever he wants.
You say he's signed a movie deal, I'm sure it's more Shaq like then an Oscar winning role. Shaq's type of movies are available to any sucker every year.
Coming back to play football after you realized you made a mistake is a hell of alot harder at the age of 35/36.

Whats this movie deal you speak of? I was hoping we wouldnt trade him but the more i read about these possible trades, the sweeter it sounds. a couple more high draft picks would be great.

Flashdance 2?

I had not read of any movie deal. Recently though I read something about how Rick Fox left the NBA for Hollywood and the money he has made acting is bupkus. JT has 15 million on the table over the next 2 years, that money is hard to give up. I could see him in San Diego (contender, close to Hollywood), Jax (contender, but he may worry that he would lose some of the publicity) or Dallas (contender, he would be with Zach, he would get all the free publicity in the world, & Jerry Jones is making a huge push to win with the new stadium opening up next year)
I have absolutely no inside information, just my opinion.

no way he will play xerxes from 300 in his own sitcom

Uhh Yeah Right........

Jason will not retire this year and he won't play for the Dolphins either. We won't get a 1st round pick for him the market is a 3rd and if we get lucky a high 2nd. I say trade him. Jason is one of the great Dolphins of all time but he needs to go.

Though I don't buy the original post, I think it's pretty clear he is done with wanting to play for Miami and who can blame him. I don't. I appreciate him not treating this like Chad Johnson and maintaining his class, but we need to get him to a contender not only for him but I think that a team that is close would be the only chance of maximizing any value for him. San Diego, Jax, Dallas or even Philly would be clubs we might get some sort of value. I do agree that it will be hard to replace him for what we could get for him, it just makes sense to get something while we can rather than wait until we can get nothing.
