I was just thinking about javon walker and how i would like to have him. he will not play for the packers ever he is done there. he is better than booker imo, maybe we could trade for him? we could offer booker and maybe a 07 4th or 5th? I think if farve comes back he will want walker traded for another wr because he does not have time for a rookie to develop. As much as i like ricky maybe we could package ricky and booker for walker and davenport and maybe a 4th? I really dont want to get rid of ricky but walker on the other side of chambers would be sweet!

Were not getting Javon the Packers said the only way they'll trade is if they get the world in return.....:dolphins:

That would be a great pick-up, although I think the trading of draft picks is something Saban willl be hesitant to do at the moment.

Greenbay has already said they will NOT trade Javon Walker.

This is going to be an interesting situation to follow. Walker has said unequivocally that there is no way he will ever play in GB again. In fact he actually said that he would rather retire than play for the packers. He clearly was an impact player before his injury but I just dont know how much I would be willing to give up for him. I dont have a problem trading a second rounder for a franchise level qb but I really dont know how much I would give for a wr who will be a number 2 for us especially when we already have Booker.

BTW what exactly is his beef with G.B. ?
Last off-season he had just went to the pro bowl and was only scheduled to make 515k. He pretty much demanded a new deal from GB and said that he would hold out if he didn't get it. Bret came out and said that Walker pretty much needed to shut up and just play football which I doubt made Walker very happy. In the end GB didn't touch his deal and he went into the season grossly underpaid and then had the injury.
Edit-Here is an article about it.

I don't normally have much patience with player wanting a raise but he was grossly underpaid and GB handled the situation horribly IMO.

I would trade our 2nd round pick and Booker for Javon. I'm doubt we are going to draft anybody as talented as Javon. He would challenge Chambers for the #1 job.

If Saban can find a way to trade them our second for this year I'm all for it. :D

I doubt Greenbay would accept our 2nd round pick next year...

That is considered like a third rd. pick. I think an interesting prospect from the draft is the slot receiver who participated in the Olympics, Bloom. Bloom appears to have good speed, but he has not played since 2002. He was banned from the NCAA for participating in the Olympic team preparation. He is getting tutoring from a former Denver wr. He could be a late rd. pick (7th round).

Walker would be a GREAT pick up for us. Dante would throw for 40 TD's!

Eagles | Team has not discussed J. Walker trade

Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports the Philadelphia Eagles have not had any conversations with the Green Bay Packers about trading for WR Javon Walker. Walker, who recently said he would retire before playing for the Packers again, is coming back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee that limited him to just one game last season. The Packers have also said they will not trade Walker.

I highly doubt this guy will be traded.

If a player wants out he makes it tough on HIS team. We got Daunte for a 2nd because he wanted out, we could get Javon for a 2nd next year. I do have a feeling Booker may be moved, if he's staying i really think we'd have heard about him being asked to restructure.

there was a post a few days ago about this same topic; i mean, he really is a GREAT WR... he is one of my personals top 15 WR's on the league and i would try to get him, but as mentioned b4.. he is not available unfortunatly... i mean.. imagine culpepper throwing both sides to 2 great WR's as Chris and Javon?.. and if we get to have R&R on earth.. omg... what a season we would have...
