Most of this is probably somewhere in the site, but here it goes anyway:

Jaws on Josh Freeman:

"Good size, but the kid has a lot of flaws," said Jaworski. "Look at how he sets up, how he never puts his weight over his back foot. He's just 'arming' his throws. No body. All arm. When you throw a little pass like this, it's one thing. But it's consistent on his other throws, too. He doesn't get his weight back and drive the ball.
"I've seen a lot of this kid and I don't understand why people are so high on him. It's early. NFL teams draft players because of what they can be, not what they are right now. For me, Freeman should have stayed in school for another season. I see too many things I don't like about him."

Jaws on Pat White:
Jaworski said White had "as good of mechanics as any quarterback" he evaluated in the pre-draft process. "What I saw was a quarterback," Jaworski said. "Everyone talks about (White as a) wide receiver or a Wildcat quarterback. What I saw was a quarterback with outstanding fundamentals who threw the ball very well."

People are talking about reaching for White. Judging by Freeman, who went at 1.17, I think we got excellent value. Wouldn't you say?

The only reason people are crying about White is they think that whatever Scouts Inc., Mel Kiper, and McShay say is law. Mayock had White pagged as a 2nd round pick at the combine. Anyone with NFL experience loved the pick. The touts didn't. Seriously, what do they know. I really don't care about value anyway. I care about winning. If Pat White is 3-5 inches taller, he's a top QB in this draft. We didn't get value. We got a steal.

I usually don't play this card but, Jaws is someone who's opinion I definitely respect. Not that I don't respect Kiper's, McShay's, Mayock's, etc., but the fact that Jaws' name was mentioned was what got me to come into this thread. I hope he's right.

Jaws is good. I like Phil Simms, too.

'Crying' another adjective from someone who don't like people who don't agree with using the first 2nd round pick on this guy. I on the other hand thought the FO should have traded back for Brace. When Brace takes over for Wilfork and is in the lap of the qb on a 3 step drop, we can only hope whoever is qb can stay off the ground.
Just have to look back at the last game against NE, to see what a quality NT does to a offensive scheme.

Wow....so ur saying brace is going to be better than Wilford?? Wilford is definately the best 3-4 NT in the game and your saying brace is going to be better....thats a bold statement about a man with boobs!

Jaws also went on and on about how good of a pro J.Beck would be, remember!

P.White should be solid for us but let's let him do something first.

i cant believe all the threads this kid is getting already.
there are like 100 pat white threads already and he hasnt even practiced yet.

Brace is a run stuffing nose tackle. He compares to Tony Siragusa, as they are the same size. Brace is not a pass rusher at all. He had 4 career sacks in college.

doesnt freeman just look like an idiot for coming out, when jaws sees things he doesn't like about him.

Well, Freeman was smart for coming out now because he was a hot commodity,
but that doesn't mean Jaw's criticisms of him are wrong.

Jaws knows a lot of football, more than anyone on this site ever will. Does that mean he's always right? No. But as long as we're talking on and on about a guy who, like a poster above said, hasn't even played a down, we might as well hear from the best and keep our own personal evaluations in perspective.
