Ajayi’s knee injury happened four years ago. In 2014, he became the first player in FBS history to rush for more than 1,800 yards and to generate more than 500 receiving yards in one season.
If those reports originate from team visits, keep in mind that very few teams engage in extensive medical examinations during those sessions. Besides, Ajayi checked out at the Scouting Combine, where the poking and prodding nearly rises to the level of the nuances of an alien abduction. (I think I’ve used that one before. I’m too lazy to check.)

The only player in the entire draft to be compared to the "Beast Mode."

hope that's true. I don't think they would have drafted him if he was really hurt.

I am confused. If they medically checked him how can the rest of the teams think he has any serious issue. I even heard a report that the knee was bone on bone.

I am happy for the Dolphins where they got him, but if I was him I would be very upset.

Carried a tremendous workload at Boise. He may not play 8 seasons for us, but he's good to go for the foreseeable future.

Reports he has "bone on bone" issues = ZERO cartridge in some area. If that's true -- and guys like Mayock are pretty reliable, then its HIGHLY UNLIKELY we outsmarted the rest of the league. His knee is guaranteed to fail at the pro level. The only question is how long.

It's horrible for him. Didn't even need a medical recheck post-combine, because he has no injury concerns. His injury was 4 years ago, he has healed and played on it ever since. It is what it is, some people's anatomy is just freaky like that.

1st off if we get 31-74th good year's out of him great...2nd I believe there is a procedure to add a a fake cartilage into joints. ..ill spend a 5th on him all day.

Blah......Mayock is a decent evaluator.....he is not a doctor.

He was regurgitating what he had heard.....nothing more...he certainly didn't perform an exam.

The draft falls how it falls, but you have to think he has some kind of problems if he lasted that long. I do however know that our medical department is one of the best in the league.

If he gives you 3-4 years of production that is worth a 5th rounder.

obviously we all really dont know the overall truth on this.... but no matter what, the risk reward of taking him in the 5th is TREMENDOUS!!! this kid has so much talent and ability he brings for however many years he can. we dont need to overload him either!!! love it, and i hope the best for him and the Miami Dolphins!!!

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME GET!!!

we got a great RB for ~3 years, 'nuff sed

can't wait to see Gurley's health after 3 years, NFL running backs get brutalized

Gurley is a Bugatti with a dent who cost $800,000

Ajayi is a Ferrari with a flaky transmission who cost $70,000

I like our deal much better

I am sure I won't hear from Sons of Silence on this
