The legend of Jay Ajayi continues to grow.

The former Boise State running back was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row, which is an honor that hasn’t been given to a running back since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006.

Ajayi was honored last week after his 204 yard rushing day against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and now after a repeat performance against the Buffalo Bills which saw him run for 214 yards, averaging 7.6 yards a carry, he also becomes the first Dolphins player to win a Player of the Week award in consecutive weeks since the NFL began giving out the honor in 1984.

Not only that, he becomes the first player overall to win Player of the Week awards in back-to-back weeks since Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was given the honor back in 2014 during Weeks 8 and 9 after throwing six touchdown passes in each game.

He has redeemed Boise State after the Jamar Taylor draft.
