I have read on this board in a few threads that at least a few people would like Miami to draft Jay Cutler. I went to Mel Kipers Big Board and he has him the second rated senior QB. Said he has all the skills to go pro and could be a first round pick. The one thing that concerned me in his stats was that he took arround 20 sacks a year. I have not seen him play can some one tell me if he was working behind a bad OLine.

Yeah, Cutler does not have the best supporting case by a long shot. I believe he WILL go in the first round. I think (pure speculation) that this is the kid the Dolphins land in the 1st round.

I have seen himplay and yes his O-line is not that good. Im hoping we trade down in the 1st, get another 2nd, and draft this guy with a late first. I like his play.. a lot!

I'd rather have this Jay Cutler on the fins :)

How?

Cutler is the man, we need him in a Fins uni!

Any chance we could pick up Cutler in the 2nd round?

Again its pure speculation at this point but imo no. Right now his stock has already risen to an early 2nd rounder and with his athleticm he most certainly will impress at his workouts whitch will increase his value even more. He is probaply the fasted rising prospect and it doesnt look like he will slow down. As far as his draft status goes i think he will be like kyle Boller a few years ago who really climped the boards and went mid-early first rd(where i think cutler will go). *I'm not comparing cutler to boller in any way other than draft position*

He will probably start climbing pretty fast after the senior bowl like Phillip Rivers. Maybe Saban will coach the team Cutler is on.

I haven't seen Jay Cutler play either, but he sounds better than most of the names I have heard thrown out including Quinn and Omar Jacobs...but you never know about these guys as they could be like Ryan Leaf. The only guy I would say is not going to be a bust is Leinart and maybe Vince Young of Texas (who I believe i staying for his senior season). It might be better going after Carr of the Texans or Rivers of San Diego then drafting a guy out of college who may not pan out.

Cutler will not be a bust, he is MUCH better than Jacobs.
