How many Kicks do u think he will make vs miss?
1-19..20-29..30-39..40-49..50+
1/1.....7/8.....9/11....6/7....1/3 for an outcome of 24/30=80%

What does everyone else think?

We're really getting the stats threads goin today...I think we should do a thread on every player on the roster..Heck, even the practice squad

I think the stats look about right. how much you wanna bet Mare has a better year because of kicking in a dome and then we will start seeing the Cam bashing threads for trading him.

I cant rele tell if ur being sarcastic or not but i was jus wondering how ppl feel Ginn will do returning, Feely at kicking, and Green at QB since they are all new to the fins

I wasnt serious..Just a little sarcasm...:goof:

Feely said his fav team growing up was the Dolphins, hopefully this gives him motivation to make more field goals

Also said one of his strong points has been in the kickoff game so we wont be missing olindo all that much in this aspect.

you know what, mare was like 0% (i know, exaggeration) for field goals over 50yd. this guy is not too bad. i think the kicker position was filled WELL this year. i have faith.

It ain't even about Mare's field goals over 50 yards. I can understand missing 50+ yard field goals. But Mare was missing field goals between 30-45 yards. Im sorry but those used to be guaranteed points from him.

Feely can hit those. Mare couldn't. (although with 9 games indoors, Mares gonna be the most accurate kicker in the league from now on for the saints)

you're right. He used to be money under the 50 but the last couple years it seems like he slipped big time!

Mare may have slipped a little, but if you look at career stats, these two guys are the same, except Mare is a little better on the depth of his KOs...the only difference between them is a few years in age...that and Feely amassed his best stats in an indoor stadium...I don't see much of a difference here. Feely has missed a few shorter ones as well...thinking that Feely is a big step up from Mare is....well....wrong....

that and Feely amassed his best stats in an indoor stadium

He also spent the last few years in a ballpark that for a kicker can sometimes be the 6th circle of hell. Dolphins Stadium, even with the dirt, compared to the Meadowlands has to be a walk in the park by comparison.

Mare missed 10 field goals last year. thats 30 points we missed out on all because of one guy.

Im not saying Feely is going to be great. Im not looking for great. But if he doesnt cost us 30 points, i'll consider him to be a BIG step up.
