As much as he intrigues me my belief is that the Fins need to draft smart and smart .ransom healthy players...no more risky players. Agree?
This is the same medical staff that OK'd KA, Maxwell, and Bushrod. Anyone who disliked any of those due to injury, won't put much faith in Miami's evaluation. He was rated in the top 4 players in the Draft in terms of pure talent. I would seek the expert medical advice and I know I'm in the minority, but if they expected a full recovery after a year off, I'd be prepared to use a 3rd round pick on Jaylon Smith. The concept of delayed gratification sometimes works. If the medicos really don't like his prospects long term, then I'd look elsewhere.

Drafting smart is taking advantage of talent when it becomes available.
We need help at virtually every position on our defense. And, like all teams, the biggest need for our franchise is play makers. If teams feel confident that Smith can recover(and im not too sure about that) then we have to grab him as he falls down the draft. Who cares about his rookie season if hes a star for the next 12?
