Another good interview with Darlington today

Says openly that the new GM can be overrridden by Tannenbaum
Tried to keep Hickey via a demotion. Around the league some thought Hickey did a solid job.
Steve Ross hates interviewing
Helps Colts kept Pagano, that was a better job, so is the Giants(obviously)
Can't image Payton working for Tannenbaum - and Tannenbaum doesnt want a coach who will want power if successful
Thinks Coughlin with McAdoo as a successor would be smart

The main point? HC candidates like Jackson, Gase, Payton see Tannehill as an asset (obvious to some, not so obvious to others) - helps verses the Eagles job

Tannenbaum better not screw us out of a nice Head coach because of his ego! Also, The Tannehill thing is so obvious!

That's the biggest thing I hate about TannenBUM. He has an ego as big as the fricken Grand Canyon. Seems to have a God complex or something. Ross gives him power and it goes to his damn head.

How does Darlington know that Gase, Jackson and Payton think Tannehill is an asset? I am not saying that RT isn't? However, how would Darlington know that? I think he took some liberties here.

In listening to Darlington's two interviews today, he kills anything that came is post-Tannenbaum. He hails pre-Tannenbaum stuff.

Darlington has a fighting interest here.

LOL at him about Ross being an absentee owner. You think Paul Allen is in the building everyday in Seattle? Find the right people to run the team.

Darlington specifically said that he talked to them.

I do not believe it OR he asked them and they would never **** on another team's player in that it could public. So they made nice statements.

Look, I like RT. However, I just think Darlington took liberties here.

Or is it because he's hitting Tannenbaum hard. I trust Darlington.

No...I think he sounds like someone that is upset that people he knows within the org are on the short end of the stick and he is being hypercritical of something that has not happened yet.

Trust Darlington if you want...I like him. However, he seems kind of bitter. Plus, he was the one reporting that there is was nothing in the Wells Report to hurt the players and he was fat wrong on that.

Plus, while Martin was a snake, I was always taken aback that Darlington defended the players in the locker room so much being that he was a reporter. It was always kind of strange. Again, I think he is holding the water for some of the "old guard" here.

Good things are happening...just do not hire Mike Smith.

Tannenbaum is shaking things up and people are all bent about it...what exactly has been so successful post Jimmy Johnson that what Tannenbaum is doing is not worth the risk?

It is not like is going to "mess with the success" we have had lately. Could he fail? Yep. However, I think the process this team is going through has been EXACTLY what has had to happen for the last half dozen years.

NOW, it is on Tannenbaum to pick a solid coach. We shall what that looks like.

Helps Colts kept Pagano

sounds like a "state the obvious" bullet point from a Hayden Fox game assessment.

How does Tannenbaum get anything done with HF hanging from his jock 24/7?
