I would be extremely surprised if Darlington's prediction comes true. I see Wake's first season as a role player and contributing maybe 3-4 sacks.

Wow eight sacks would be great. But I agree with you 3-4 sounds more like it. With a little coaching under his belt next year might be special.

That would be great but I dont see alot of impact this season unless Roth is gone. Taylor will be the main backup or opposite side starter and Wake still has to compete with other OLB"s to even get playing time beyond them.

I think he will get us about 10 sacks this season. I think he will be getting about 4-6 of them by tackling the QB. The rest will be his pressure lead the Qb into the arms of another sack master.

So while he may only get about 4-6 on the season as far as stats go... he will help get us even more sacks from pressuring the QB for another player.

Miami has the talent to apply serious pressure on passing downs. We are building what should be a very good secondary. We will be making some noise on offense and defense while we DEFEND THE AFC EAST TITLE!!!

vegas has him getting 3.5

WOW !!

Time to lay some serious money down on the over. Thanks for notifying me.

If Roth can get 5 sacks last year with his limited pass rushing ability and with his small stubs for arms to get around O-Tackles-- And Roth's limited time in the pass rushing role as he came out most of the time, Wake will get more.

As Wake is superior by 3 notches to Roth as a pass rusher.. EASY MONEY FOLKS !!

EASY EASY MONEY !

I can see Taylor, Porter, and Wake being combined into a pass rushing package on third a long. If I were the opposing offensive coordinator, I would ensure that JT and Porter were blocked. That would give Wake a tremendous opportunity to get 8 sacks. It does not seem unreasonable to me, but I am not ready to predict it.

i wanna see wake for myself in the preseason games b4 i make any predictions...but jake long among others have given glowing reviews of his game thus far.

definitely need to have a 3rd down rush package with porter, taylor, and wake on the field together.

could be nasty

8 sacks as a backup? that would be ridiculous and awesome at the same time.

I just dont see as best the third option off the bench as getting 8 sacks. He does realize that Porter 4 out of his last 6 seasons has not gotten 8 sacks.
Personally I think thats a very high number for a backup or even a first year starter.

nah. at least it's nice to hear someone in the 'media' saying something positive about our team.

8 sacks for anyone is a solid season. hell it is a good season. i think realistically 3-4 would be excellent for the first year in a new league and a new system. i am hoping that cameron wake is a matt roth clone, with more natural athletic ability. if he plays with roths attitude and motor and puts his athletic ability to good use he can be a beast .
