Anyway two things really stuck out that he said in this column.

We have an unrestricted free agent offensive tackle (Vernon Carey) so there is some business we need to get done there.

Good to hear him say that publicly just because now you know its on his mind.

When we look back at the 2008 draft, we will be saying we hit on Jake Long. I'm certain of that. We're going to say we hit on Chad Henne. It may be three years, it may be four years down the road when we really know that. But from what I've seen of Henne in this short exposure, I'd say we hit on him.

Can't say either of these quotes upset me. Pennington needs to make some kind of imprint on Henne because the things Henne lacks Pennington doesn't......and vice versa for that matter (arm strength) I do think Ted Ginn Jr. will hit another level once Henne is throwing to him.

Another thing about that column that's worth noting is that Ireland says that finding Dan Carpenter is the one personnel move he's most proud of.
