It's about time he had surgery... the guy has been playing injured for several weeks. Listed on the packers injury report, hopefully playing-injured didn't make it worse. He has been immobile for a while. Quite a shame as James had a good year last year, and was in even better shape this year. He was first listed as injured before the patriots game. However, I think he was injured in training camp. There's a reason why the dolphins have only ran behind him 5 or 6 plays this year. Kind of strange that this injury never made the papers before.

Gotta admit that Saban has had no luck with the interior of his line this year,

James is going to be back. So is Seth Mckinney. So is Joe Toledo. So is Berger. So is everybody else playing and on the roster unless we cut them or don't resign them. We can only priortize so much for OL. How many free agents and draft picks are you talking about. By the looks of whats returning healthy next year.......... Do we even need to draft OL. I say cut LJ and pick up one excellent FA and draft the best players.

We need to find some o-linemen who are physical and can move their feet. Right now we have a group of overweight guys who are immobile.

This is a good point. The RG position has really suffered b/c of injury and now we realize so has the LG position.

When it comes to running the ball - with the system the Dolphins have - the interior 3 are key players in all of this.

It's the main reason Brown has had very little room to run. On 50% of his carries, there is penetration through the interior of the O-line. There's no way - unless you have Barry Sanders - you can be successful with that problem.

Football does have a lot of luck involved. Part of the bad luck is that the replacements at RG did not pan out. Sometimes teams lose a player and the next guy surprisingly steps in and does even better than the starter. This has rarely been the case for the Dolphins of late.

Agreed. And, the players Elliot 1 mentions are some of those guys. They also need to add a few more - rookies and free agents.

It's okay to be big, but you have to be able to move well and be smart. Denver, New England, Atlanta, all demonstrate this.

Denver is 5-1. There offense is worse than ours.... 31st in the league... Scoring only 79 points. Their defense is #1 in the league, though... allowing 46 points.
