I'm sorry to be the party pooper, but Jeno James is the worst O-Lineman in our team and even Seth Mckinney sometimes had to help him with his guy if you look at the tape. He gets beat one on one too often and looks kinda weak. I believe he still hasn't recovered completely from his disease and needs to be replaced by St Clair or Middleton.

I told you last season he was crap. He was the weak link for the Panthers and he still is a weak link for the Fins.

The only game I remember paying attention to him in was the divisional playoff game against the Rams. He did pretty well against them and helped Stephen Davis get some big runs.

He and Reggie Howard were one year wonders in Carolina and Spielman gave them big money on just 1 good year.

Just terrible by Rick S.

He was said to be a huge p/u from Carolins when we got him....nothing but a dissapointment

The Pitts defense is tough and our oline still has alot to learn, but when it comes to pure talent Jeno is one of the best o-lineman on our team.

hard to judge much based on that pathetic display of a game, but it sure looked like he wasn't 100%-that said it's hard to judge who is doing what on the O-line, especially from channel 4/34's lame camera work. As fans we have no idea of blocking assignments, stunts by the defense real and imagined, and the resulting line calls (presumably by McKinney last night)-the O-line is a team effort, all about sync and timing, and full of shifting assignments on a new offense with new coaches and a new backfield-as the coaches continue to say. a work in progress

I watched the tape this morning and focused more on James and Hadnot after looking at Carey last night. No question Carey shows more promise than either James or Hadnot, even though I still think Carey is misplaced at LT. Hadnot has basic liabilities in quickness and lateral agility. James, as another poster mentioned, doesn't seem particularly strong and gets overwhelmed at times. At Carolina I remember he excelled in space, on the run in front of Stephen Davis or the guy from UCLA. Our schemes and the OL talent, or lack thereof, around him don't allow those type of slow developing plays.

McDougal isn't as athletic as you would expect from someone drafted in the first round, but he looks competent at RT and may improve. An obvious difference from Houck's teachings to those of the previous regime is a much shallower pass drop from the tackles. I thought it was just Carey, but after looking at the tape this morning all the tackles are doing it including backups like Alabi.

The interior of our line is a mess. Middleton is in the same type of shape at McIntosh last year. I'm not sure McKinney, Hadnot or James will be starting next year, at least not in Saban's ideal world.

my question: why is it that we seem to not have a single O-lineman who doesn't look like a fat pig?
