It's me again! I just heard on WQAM that our beloved team is in pursuit for Jerry Porter as per Hank.

What do you all think?

I shall have to see it to believe it but I've heard this a few times now. I still believe we're out of the trading business...but Jerry Porter would fit what we like to do very well. He's a little more one dimensional than Chambers, IMO, but he goes up for the deep ball just as well as Chambers...which is a good thing. Chambers gets all the attention so having a better deep threat than Booker would pay dividends.

But I'd imagine by "interested" it means we're looking very long term...2007 not 2006.

I'm sick of primadonna wideouts. I like his game, but would rather go with Booker.

He can catch the ball. You have trust Saban on this one. If he thinks it's woth the shot, then that's all I need.

Porter is a good receiver but he would probably cause problems... (1). He wants to be the number 1 option and/or receiver in the offense. We already have a number 1. (2). In addition, he wore the Number#84, that would also be a problem.. Personally, I don't think that he would be a good fit for the Dolphins.

Honestly, I don't think anyone can say with authority what exactly he does want. We know he has issues with Art Shell, but that could be any NUMBER of things. And having the same number as a guy on your team is not a big deal. That's like saying I don't want to take this shortcut that will save me a mile because there's a speed bump.

I dont understand everyone. Porter is an amazing receiver. Before moss arrived he had a spectacular season. If we could get porter that would immediately improve our receiver corps.

in 2004 he had 998 yds receiving and 9 tds. he is 6-2 going into his 7th year as a pro

Most wideouts are primadonnas. Most of the good ones, anyway. I say just look at the football issues.

the question is who would you rather have booker or porter

Yeah you would think Marty would be involved in the package because if not, we would be too heavy at WR. I'm not sure who I'd rather have.

we dont need two #1 recievers, booker is unselfish and is a very good #2 guy
