Jerry Rice retires!

Fox Sports Radio just reported that the Donkeys have called a 1:30pm press conference where it's expected that Jerry Rice will announce his retirement from the NFL..

Jerry, let me be one of the first to say thank you and good luck and god speed.... Great Career and wonderful player!

Great career.

Im happy he finally moved on though. The thought of him as a #4 receiver makes me sick.

wonder if he'll make it in on the first ballot? :D

the best receiver ever! he's had a great career, and i wish he'd play forever!

Too bad he didn't sign with the Niners for a day.

o this is probually goona get moved, since it belongs in the General NFL forum...

Well duh.

Anyway though, it would be the best for him to retire, so it was a good move by Rice. Rice will go down as the best WR in NFL history.

Great career! Sad to see him go, but at the same time glad we didn't have to witness him as a 4th WR on the third team in a row.
