He won't be fined, because the hit was clean. No amount of tape evidence shows otherwise. Big hits happen on passes over the middle, and Coles ended up taking one of them. There was no spearing, there was no leading with the helmet, the guy just got pounded.

Zach has been making big hits all year. End of story. Thats why he is going to the Pro Bowl. He has been laying people out at the age of 33. Dude rocks!

Coles looks like he is actually is taking an admirable stance with the situation. And the Jets, no matter how much we hate them, have to protect their players.

I'd agree, but why would they be so vague about the nature of the injury Coles sustained? If there is no injury, no ill effects from the hit, wouldn't that hurt their case? Right now they can stand and point "nyah nyah nyah Coles is so tough he can take an illegal hit and come out fine" as opposed to the truth of the matter: "Coles took a heck of a hit over the middle, got shaken up some, had to come out for a while but ultimately he'll be fine. Unfortunately, we've already whined about it so much publicly that we can't backtrack." Dick Butkus would have killed Mangini for sending in the tape and whining to the media.

We have the visual evidence in the VIP forum. It was a clean shoulder hit.At no time do you see either helmet go back which would occur if there was a helmet to helmet hit.It was clean body slam that we have grown accustomed to with Zach who BTW has made the Jacked up show several times this year for similar type hits.

Its irrelevant what we think. The NFL will make the final decision.

It doesn't have to be helmet to helmet, you cannot lead w/ your helmet and that's what it looked like reviewing the tape.

Look at it again.Zachs right shoulder is the first part of his body that hits Cole.
