Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports unrestricted free-agent DL David Bowens (Dolphins) left a visit with the New York Jets without a contract.

It would be real nice to resign D-Bo. If he doesnt recievei Interest from anyone.

I'd like to have him back for depth purposes. He's a decent DE.

I'd love to have him back as well, for the right price, but don't think it'll happen. Another guy about to turn 30, and Mueller probably thinks we have enough of those.

It would be nice to have D-bow on the roster again!! That boys a monster... Well he 'WAS' anyway.

Age is just a number! He could be in much better condition at 30 than some guys are at 26 or 27... I don't think the guy has had any major injuries and has always played well at DE & special teams. I really hope he gets re-signed!!

well, I would also love to have DBo back but Porter kind of puts that on the doubtful because Dbo was the opposite of JT in being a LB/DE when changing. Somehow, I do not see us changing as much (JT will do all the moving around) and we will stay in a 3-4 moreso than 4-3 and remember, Porter has also played in two point stands at DE as well.

Thats true, Dbo does not have alot of mileage and he does make big plays and is a good character guy that the others like so it could happen. Just depends on what everyone else wants and Dbo might be like Wes and start up with an attitude against us.

we gotta re-Sign him, who else is gonna be our DE when Taylor is at OLB? Roth is one but who is the other? Taylor and Roth are the only DEs on the team, given Holliday can and does play DE sometimes but still

there is definately a place for him this roster...with the loss of Kevin Carter he would see alot more playing time...with roth being the main guy at left end he could be the number two on either side and he could also back up the olb in the 3-4 meaning jason taylor and joey porter...

Yeah... I think he's hoping for a multiyear contract with some team.... I think he just did a one year deal for $1million last year (still nice with no state income tax in FL). But he's great on special teams which should be a huge benefit for the fins in him coming back this year.
I think the media manipulated Welker's words.... I think he just felt he was a better fit in the Patriots team....a good fit here in Miami, but a better one in New England where its currently 14 degrees & wind gusts up to 40mph....:(

Bowens has nice long arms.... I think that he plays with very good leverage and technique. It was really nice seeing Roth blow up some O-lineman last year....one play against Minnesota was great which I think caused a fumble return for a touchdown?

Holliday is the 3-gap, so he is Roth's counterpart. Taylor and Bowens have nothing to do with him.
