Question:

Was it Ray Lewis or Rex Ryan who stopped the Wildcat last year???

If it was Rex Ryan, does that mean the Wildcat won't work on the Jets?

Guess we'll have to beat those stupid jets the old fashioned way...:hi5:

Terrell Suggs did a good job. And Ray Lewis, and Ed Reed.

Thankfully for us they're not on the Jets.

It became to predictable and by dropping the 8th man in the box they could stop the run. That along with the OL not playing well and Chad not able to hit the mid-deep outs.

Most teams will be able to stop the wildcat this year... It's not a surprise!!!! It's been done already... And keep in mind that the Jets ran the wildcat formation with Brad Smith 2 years before you guys ran it... It's going to be hit or miss this year.

lol you guys think you've seen what the Wildcat is? Your gonna have the same stupid look on your face Belichik had last year. You guys might have ran it but no way near our level. Our QB coach perfected it at Arkansas before bringing it here....and WE GOT PAT WHITE!

You can't say teams will stop it this season until they do. Remember that Pat White most likely takes Pennington's spot on the field. Now there is a legitimate arm that can throw deep and out. That adds a lot of options and defenses will not be able to drop that 8th man in the box.

Must be talking about the first game. Cause that 2nd game got out of hand...w/ a 2nd string qb dinking and dunking on MIA's Def.

And I know you have high expectations for a guy who hasn't made a play yet in the NFL. But most here do. I just hope he can contribute his first year. I won't sit here and make a NFL rookie the next big thing in the NFL. Let him prove it on sunday afternoons.

I beg to differ. Last year was the first time we have run that offense as a team, with a year of knowledge under our belt it will be run all the more efficient. Add an improved offensive line and Pat White, the perfect "Wildcat" player and opposing teams defenses are gonna have nightmares all season. Last year when Pennington was flanked out as a WR, he was essentially a wasted player, that won't be the case this year when hes replaced by White, a player capable of doing it all. I can't wait to see what we can do this year as opposed to last, I liked the Wildcat package but I often thought we ran it at the wrong times and it wasn't very efficient in some cases. That won't be the case this year, NFL defenses, your on notice.

Your mistaken, Brad Smith lined up at QB, that was the only switch in the offense. There was no unbalanced line and there were not a consitent Jet Sweep option. And they ran an option play every time, not a zone option but a flat out plain option.

The only difference is Ronnie Brown is a better quarterback then Brad Smith. Just saying.

IMO the Wildcat can work on any defense as long as you execute correctly, Pennington seems to fit that style to a degree considering that he has a good mind for the game.
