As a Dolphins fan trapped in the New Jersey hellhole, let me tell how that listening to the local sports radio and callers yesterday was absolutely glorious!

This morning, driving to the office the spinzone on why the Jets were better off without Hill was stupendous!

The first show was kinda tongue and cheek humor about how the Jets always lose out.

The second show was pure pain and contained anger. One guy even went on about how Florida gets an unfair tax advantage that makes it "unfair".... He mad!

I am sitting in my office playing my nanoscopic violin for Jets fans complaining how unfair it is they can't compete against Florida for signing top football free agents.

You voted for the politicians who adopted suffocating tax rates in your state for the "wealthy" (and a minimum contract rookie counts as "wealthy" there). If those rates are a problem, get rid of those politicians and vote in new ones who will drop the tax rates.

Ask small-market teams in baseball and basketball what it's like competing against the payrolls and amenities of California and New York City.

It's interesting to hear Michael Kay - He's the main guy in the bottom video - on the other side of it talking about the income tax scenario. I'm a huge Yankees fan - he's their TV play by play guy and I love him as a Yanks announcer.

"When the Chiefs gave me permission to reach out to teams, I told them what we were looking for... We were looking to beat the Adams contract on every level."
