Though New York ranks sixth against the run, since Nov. 30 the Jets have allowed 129 yards to Denver's Peyton Hillis, 127 to Buffalo's Marshawn Lynch and on Sunday, 116 to Seattle's Maurice Morris. And Seattle started five offensive linemen who were backups or on the practice squad in September.

The Jets' biggest weakness is their 29th-ranked pass defense, and CBS' Rich Gannon said they're especially vulnerable in the middle of the field. That sets up well for Chad Pennington to continue throwing to his tight ends. The Jets allowed big numbers to Anthony Fasano (eight catches, 84 yards) and David Martin (4, 53), and Denver tight ends torched them (13 catches, 149 yards).

In the past four games, Favre has one TD pass, six interceptions and nine sacks, and completed only one pass of more than 30 yards (34 by Leon Washington). Receiver Jerricho Cotchery told New York media the Jets' slump is ``mind-boggling. I'm just clueless right now.''

im pretty worried about how the interior of our oline is going to hold up against jenkins and the jets. i don't know how much sucess we are going to have between the tackles, i would love to see us grind out a victory, but this might be another one we put onto chad's shoulders and have him throw 35 times.

I read an article about Jenkins last week stating that his big body is wearing down late in this season. Teams have been exploiting him recently as the wear of taking on dbl teams is starting to break him down.

That being said... a game this big.. don't take a single thing for granted. The Jets have had our number.. but there comes a day when all things must change.. Sunday will be that day.

This article is great but one-sided...We have a lot of weaknesses as well on defense..
I don't remember us stopping the run and pass effectively..

I have heard numerous dolphin players say they "will be ready" for the jets this sunday. I for one, believe them. ;)

i believe we will be ready. I think as long as we play within our offense we will be fine. I want chad to kick their *** but not put us in any bad positions or try and force things that are not there.

In order to beat the Jets we will need to continue to have Brett Favre play horrible. The way to do that is getting a great pass rush. Joey Porter will have to come alive in this game and I don't just mean at the end of the game, i mean this has to be Joey Porter's best game of the season and we will win.

Agreed. I'm hoping Henning, Pasqualoni and co have saved a few tricks up thier collective sleeves for this game. I want to see Chad tear up that jets D and I want to see Favre on his back every down. But at the same time I don't want to see anything completely stupid... no reverses or pitches on 3rd and 2... lets keep within our gameplan and if we have to grind out a 1 point win, it'll be just as sweet. I just don't want to see us uncharacteristically (this season anyway) beat ourselves.
