Since we are keeping Coyle, should we bring Jim Leavitt in as our LB coach? I believe it is our weakest position on the team in the most need of improvement. He did a great job at USF and has done well at SF as their LB coach. He was running the defensive drills at the combine year before last.

I would love to add Leavitt to staff. He is a very good coach.

We have a good LB coach the problem is the bad LB's

If Kacy Rodgers does leave, can Leavitt coach the defensive line? Or could Duffner handle the defensive line while Leavitt does the linebackers?

Leavitt might help with scheme too.

Duffner did a good job last year. No need to replace.

He did? Our LBers were arguably the worst unit on the team this year. We lack talent bu you have get the most of what you have. I don't believe we did.

Disagree.

Jelani Jenkins was a revelation on his watch.
The Koa Misi experiment was doomed from the start and him getting hurt all the time did not help.
Phillip Wheeler stinks.
When Kelvin Sheppard and Jason Trusnik played they were prepared and held their own.

The talent needs to be upgraded not the position coach.

Exactly. Look at that list of players.

Jelani Jenkins
Koa Misi
Phillip Wheeler
Jason Trusnick
Kelvin Sheppard

Who is coaching them up to be Bowman/Willis? No one, that's who. Startling how weak that group is. Even a healthy Ellerbe doesn't fix that.

I agree.
Everyone here on FH knew Misi would not be able to play the whole season. There was huge hole there at LB before the last draft.
Hickey and the staff dropped the ball by not drafting or signing a true MLB.
To many holes to fill across the team. They gambled on Misi and Wheelerbee and lost.
Misi should be playing OLB and a true stud MLB need to be signed or drafted this year.

You can never have too many good coaches. Sign him.
