maybe the new orleans pelicans will fit the bill. " this penalty brought to you by the New Orleans Pelicans, just in case you forgot the city does in fact have a NBA team"

Pelicans.... :bobdole:

Although this 25 yard XPT rule, add a 15 yard unsportsman and you got a 40 yard XPT.... not sure Who Dat will be all that happy.

Until he gets hit in the wallet enough times.

Then he'll get in line. If he doesn't know it now, he'll know it soon.

Maybe not, i'm sure he'll soon sign the most lucrative TE contract in the history of TEs, 100k doesn't seem like much to someone that is on the books to be paid 50 million with 20 million guaranteed. (completely made up numbers but you're a smart guy, you know what i mean)

You may think that's enough money to flush X grand down the toilet......But the NFL has a way of making people see things their way.

He won't be dunking.

It's not worth thousands of dollars to him.

I personally don't think any size contract is worth flushing thousands of dollars down the toilet, and while i think the rule in and of itself is silly, I wouldn't push Goddell's buttons just because I felt like it. I just wonder how much the fine would start out with the first offense and how much it would escalate with every subsequent offense.

Calvin Johnson said he's found a loophole and he's still gonna dunk just not touch the goal-post. The lady on NFL Network said the rule is no props and the ball is considered a prop. So are they not allowed to spike the ball anymore seeing as thats technically using a prop? ****ing dumb imo and if they needed a rule change they should have just said if your antics cause a delay in the game you'll incur a 15 yard penalty.

Yup. Tell em that if they damage or move the goalpost during a celebration, there will be a 15 yard penalty and a $100,000.00 fine.

Problem solved.
