I don't see why the Dolphins haven't shown interest. Chargers and Seahawks have asked for interviews. I think he would be a good candidate. With 10 teams looking for oc's I have the feeling the Dolphins will get stuck with the leftovers.

Because we haven’t shown interest in certain candidates I have to think we already have our guy. Two curious things though, why name the new oline coach and why not already promote Studs if that’s the guy,,,strange

maybe he's not the guy? I think they're waiting on somebody that is still in the playoffs knowing that they have Godsey and Studs to fall back to.

If it were to be a guy from a playoff team, here are some options.

Mike Kafka - Chiefs
Luke Getsy - Packers
Ken Dorsey - Bills

Anybody interested to see if Drew Brees retires? Anybody think he would want to Coach? Maybe start out as a QB Coach for a certain young QB that has been compared to him?

I think Brees would want to take a year off first and spend time with his family but who knows.

I doubt Brees would do anything other than consulting for the Saints. Make some money while making up for lost time with the family. The only player that I can think of that was real good at playing and coaching is MV.

How do you know they haven't shown interest?

Because bleacher hasn't reported it?

Am I wrong to think we have gone into a standstill? That might suggest we are waiting on somebody, Kafka and Dorsey coming to mind. I like Lombardi on paper because I like Payton’s principles for our group.

I was thinking that it’s just that nothing has come out but would make the most sense. You would think they would’ve waited to anoint the new oline coach though.

Brees has more money than God. I will be very surprised if he wants to be a coach because of all the hours coaching entails. I could see him coaching his boys in pee wee football but I think he is more likely to end up with one of the networks calling games or working in the studio.

Why would Drew Brees go into coaching immediately after retiring?

Makes no sense. Watch for him to go the Manning route of commercials and occasionally football opinion.

It looks like we want an internal candidate.
