Joe Pendry From Texans?

Saban tried to interview Pendry for the offensive coordinator position last year before Linehan was hired but was denied permission by the Texans. Pendry is expected to be fired when Broncos offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak is named coach next week.

Pendry has had problems at Texas. Perhaps not all the issues are of the coaches. My opinion has been that while Pendry may have struggled, the personnel decisions have been really poor at Texas. Casserly can't evaluate talent worth a hoot. Anyone who'd pay the couple of ex-Fins the money he's paid them is not very good in evaluating talent. (Wade and Greenwood) At any rate, Pendry does have a history with Saban. The only thing that is holding things up is Kubiak being hired there. If Denver wins this week, I don't think that Saban will wait until after the SB for Pendry...
