Bwaahaaaa: Colts looking to make their OL worse

Former Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin could be getting back in the game.

According to Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, the Colts have reached out to Philbin for a job on Chuck Pagano’s staff.

Pagano promoted Rob Chudzinski to offensive coordiantor, but they’re believed to be talking to Philbin about an offensive line coaching position.

Philbin was fired four games into last season, and was 24-28 in three years and change with the Dolphins. Prior to that, he coached offensive line and tight ends for the Packers before getting promoted to coordinator in 2007.

amusing, but already being discussed in 2 other threads

Wow, long way down from HC!

Is he even qualified as an OL coach???

I don't think so.

BNF.

People are understandably unhappy with Philbin around these parts, but what, just because he's not cut to be HC that means he shouldn't be involved with football at all? A lot of people around here need to remember we were the least penalized team under Philbin before this season. That's not nothing. He also had success as an OC is Green Bay, among other jobs in his 27-year coaching career.

But most important of all, he's a super classy guy who doesn't deserve to be made fun of like this.

First of all, of course I think he should get a job back in the NFL. But I find it funny that someone actually wants him as OL coach considering the OL was the WORST part of the team during his tenure in Miami. Not only that, the OL was the source of a major scandal under his watch. If I were another team, I would keep him the hell away from my OL.

Secondly, he has proven NOT to be a "super classy guy" considering the many stories that have come out of how he has undermined players and thrown them under the bus.

As a HC I don't think the state of the OL speaks of his ability to coach OL. When you're HC you cannot coach your position like you used to.

I also question those stories right now. I wouldn't be surprised if the source was the snake. I mean, you have a classy guy and a snake, who are you going to believe? I'll wait before passing judgement on that.
