I don't think we will know the answer by the end of this year. If you ran this poll and checked the results at the end of Sparano's first year what do you think the results would have been compared to the end of year 3 or 4?

Above average coach. He just seems to have a mind taylor-made for football. All you need to do is look at Green Bay's successes to prove what he's worth to a team. Granted, we don't have the tools Green Bay does, but if he has his way, he could turn this team into a Green Bay South.

Of course, his success is going to depend, in part on the team and the decisions of the front office. Let's just hope he can overcome the past failures of this team and build it into a success once again. It might take a little longer than we want, though.

I honestly don't know enough about him to form an opinion, so I didn't vote for any. He was working with one of the best offenses in the league and through the development of said offense, so that's certainly not a bad thing; I just don't know the extent of his involvement in that development. I'm keeping an open mind, just like I did with Sparano.

Realistically ending up being "the best coach since Shula" isn't that high a watermark to reach...for someone who's actually motivated, not burnt out, delusional, clueless, a quitter or apologetic. :idk: Hence my vote

A&O your better than this................

id like to see him coach at least 5 games before i form too much of an opinion.i like what ive seen so far,as far as him handling himself in the press conferences and such, but can he coach a team?

an educated guess would be he has to be at least a little bit better than sparano.

Be the best coach since Shula.

He is smart and knows how he wants to build his team
He is not one to settle for FG's
He is not looking for a big college coach contract to leave at the last moment
He understands adjustments
Doesn't say things like "fail forward fast"
He builds with character players (as far as we can tell)
He wants the job and wants Miami to have a championship instead of just going through motions.

those are just some i think

and isnt being the best coach since shula the same as above avg. coach? Cus Jimmy was avg. Wannstedt avg. to below saban below avg.

I feel like he's going to turn this team around as long as Ireland doesn't get in his way too much and lead us to better things than all the other coaches did other than Shula of course.

Ozzy rules!!

If I knew how Philbin would do I would also have the winning megamillions lottery ticket and half a billion dollars on Friday night.
