I can only hope he gets fired. Clean house, everyone's Gotta go!

Ross is a moron...and he continues to demonstrate this. We will keep Philbin and probably Ireland. They will scapegoat Sherman (not that he doesn't deserve it)...Then the moron can say he "did something".

Then after next year, when we fail again and Philbin has had three years; Ireland will declare that it is Philbin, Coyle, and the new OC's fault and fire them all. He will, of course, give himself a raise for all the hard work. He will then hire Jeff Fischer, who should be fired in St. Louis by then, and declare that he has made the fans happy once again. (And give himself another raise...) After three years of additional failure with Fischer....

I think you see the trend here...

Philbin will get fired, eventually, because of his loyalty to Sherman. No doubt in my mind, Sherman will drag him down like a pair of cement shoes.

I believe Ireland and Sherman will take the fall. Philbin will stay one year while Scott Pioli decides how he wants to turn the Dolphins into champions.

Well, to quote the late Bum Phillips, there's two kinds of coaches. Them that's fired, and them that's going to be fired.

:)

My vote is to fire both Ireland and Philbin. Then hire a VP of Football Operations who reports to Ross. The VP hires a GM and coach that both report to the VP.

This is the org structure needed for an owner like Ross. Get a solid trifecta of leaders in place that are all on the same page regarding team philosophy and direction.

I voted with no. I personally want him fired because I really don't think he brings championship traits to the table and thought he got extremely meager production with the talent at his disposal. End of the day I see Sherman and Ireland getting the axe, but I think Philbin's next in line after Sherman if I'm going to be pointing fingers (yes ahead of Ireland). End of the day there was enough talent on this team to make the playoffs and we sputtered against two **** teams.

If Ross hires Pioli, which I think he will, then I can pretty much guarantee that Philbin won't keep his job more than one year.

Philbin will get one more year. I think it too much to start over on both sides of the ball. the two biggest issues are GM and OC/OL/Qb coach. If philbin does not want to change his OC then he will be fired by the new GM. This team is 8-8 and new GM may get us to playoffs next year with philbin.

Ross takes the easy way out. Fires Ireland and then promotes Brian Gaine to GM. He then has Gaine tell Philbin to fire Sherman. Philbin will refuse, but Sherman will quit to save Philbins job. Philbin gets one more year to produce.

I beliee he should get fired but I think Ross will keep him. I'd rather keep him than reland tho if I had to pick one but both of them should be gone.

Ozzy rules!!
