Joe Rose like anyone with a brain hates the trade.

-Joe rose. I was on mobile.

-There were eleven 10 td wrs in the league last year and we got rid of one.

-Kenny stills does not elicit fear in defenses

-we are worse on offense than we were prior to the trade

All stuff imo that anyone who can count to 10 understands.

Okay so I hate the trade, but i have to live with the stupidity for 1 more year before philbin is gone. how do we make up the 7 tds and actual get more, because we need more tds than last year to be a better team.

make up your mind, somethings aren't about football, Wallace quit on the dolphins, and that goes to his character.

Wallace was a cancer. Plain and simple. He quit on us and he would've quit again when he didn't get his way. He messed this thing up not th front office

LEts see....those touchdowns could go to....I don't know....Landry, Matthews, Stills, Cameron, Sims, Miller....

Still is equally as fast and can actually catch the ball........and cost several million less. Enough said.

And how do you know he doesn't instill fear in every defense.......did you speak to all of them?

Given the situation of having Joe Philbin as HC, it is probably the best move we could have had. I think we had no trouble moving the ball, but the red zone was an issue. Jordan Cameron will help with that (until he takes a shot to the head). If we get a power back to take carries and short yardage situations, along with 2 decent guards, I think our offense can score at least as many points as last year, as long as we don't lose Cameron too early. Wallace got 10 TD's because he adapted his game to a more underneath type, which is simply a square peg in a round hole. Stills, being younger, may be even more adaptable to what this team needs. He seems like a good kid too, so he probably will keep his opinion to himself and won;t get traded next year, although with Philbin likely gone we probably won't have to worry about stuff like that anyway.

Whos Joe Rod? I watched M.Wallace play live at several games and I love the fact that he's gone. He and Starks share a similar mentality give me another young hungry player like Landry. We'll be okay!

Hilarious how Joe Rod and Omar are trying to say this is a Ryan Tannehill lack of leadership problem.

So what do you think is going to happen? Do think the offense automatically scores 10 less touchdowns this season because Wallace is gone? All that will happen is those 10 touchdowns will be distributed among other players on their offense. My God people. Stop acting like Wallace is Calvin Johnson or AJ Green or Julio Jones. Wallace is eminently replaceable. Especially at 10 million dollars a season.

This play sums it up really nicely... Wallace was NOT a team player whereas guys like Landry are. We need more players like Landry and less like Wallace..

I don't want to hear the excuse of "he would have got a block in the back penalty" because at that point it was a 5 man pile on 1 guy. He could have helped.. At the very least got his teammate out of that pile, but he didn't... He just walked off. Good riddance.

Whoa.

There are two questions here and I think people are confusing them with each other.

1) Who's fault is it that the Dolphins and Wallace fell out, could it have been avoided or addressed so that he didn't have to be dumped?

2) Having decided that Wallace had to be offloaded, was the trade a good one?

I'm not surprised people are sore at losing a good 10-TD receiver like Wallace. I know I am. I don't think we managed him well. Nothing I've seen from our WRs leads me to think we have a good WR coach in Ken O'Keeffe, Nothing I've seen leads me to think Joe Philbin is a good leader of players (esp ones with big egos, big mouths or big brains). Wallace has his share of blame in this situation, but you can't convince me that this couldn't have been minimised or buried altogether long before Wallace had his very public tantrum. Running a team is first and foremost about people management - not implementing a system - and Joe sucks at that, imo. Lazor and Tannehill aren't blameless in this either.

But, they decided he needed to be gotten rid of. I'm not impressed with events that led up to it, but I don't work for the Dolphins.

What happened after that was a masterful bit of front office work. We got a very talented, cheap player in return for two high-cost, underperforming players that we would have dumped anyway. That was a huge win and why NOBODY should dump on the trade for Stills.

By all means disagree with the events leading up to the trade of Wallace. But to disagree with the trade itself is crazy.

Stills was a 4th option (behind graham colston and cooks) , on the saints last year and still got 900 yards and 3 TDs. That's impressive.

Yes we might better a little worse this year after the wallace trade but in the long run it was a great trade. We save aprox 30 mill and get rid of and underachieving overpaid "cancer". We can now afford to upgrade the rest of the team and replace Wallace with a cheaper WR that gives 100% on every play. Most likely be replaced high in the draft. We will easily make up those "seven" TDs he brought to the table (and probably more) between Landry stills Cameron possibly clay and probably a draftee. IMO anything we get out if mattehews will be a plus too
