Hey Everybody,

Long time viewer, but first post.

I have been reading alot about the O-line, but was wandering what happened to Joe Toledo, the 4th rounder from last year. Thought he was going to start last year until he got hurt. Is he still rehabbing.

welcome nightvision, glad you finally joined the fray. Joe was hurt again and had surgery, I can't recall exactly, someone will, but I think he has a chance of contributing this season.

Welcome nightvision. Joe Toledo had surgery to repair a broken foot. Apparently he had been practicing on it when it felt some pain during one of the mini-camps. It is the third surgery Joe has undergone while a member of the Dolphins.

He has a hangnail. Ouwie. I really disliked this pick although he seems a likable guy. This is why I don't watch the draft, i was like Johnathon Scott come on down and then they took this walking medical experiment. Was a sad day when he faced Aaron Kampman of the Packers and did well while Toledo went to get a clean bandaid.

He is a likeable guy with the talent, but theses injuries, he will lose his roster spot to Tala Esera and Julius Wilson. Hopefully he can be put on the PUP list again so he can compete again next season, otherwise I think he will lose the numbers game to those who are ready come training camp.

New coaching staff, different size requirement for interior lineman where he was projected, because of physical limitations. Injured twice before the season starts, chances are he's cut bait.

he is in a boot now, he will be lucky to see the field this year

Toledo was a guy that was hand picked by Houck. He has no physical limitations and although we looked to get more athletic with our interior lineman, Toledo is a very athletic guy. He was a former TE who has a great frame and great feet. As far as coaching goes he has all the intangibles you would look for, the guy needed coaching with his technique coming out of college, but with his power and athletic ability and a year to learn under houck he will be able to contribute if healthy, another plus for him is as a backup he can play both tackle and guard, which in a close race will become a big advantage. I'm not positive but i heard that he is suppose to be ready to play in TC. Any1 confirm?

The guy has good talent and size if he could stay healthy.

I'd feel a lot better if this guy could get healthy and contribute for an entire season. There's no question that he could be the starting left guard for this offense. The left guard has to be able to pull in this system and he has the quickness and speed to do it. Plus he's really strong.

Toledo was often injured in college, and was a risky pick to begin with. He's been injured in one way or another since being a Dolphin. It's time to end the experiment and cut him for someone that can actually contribute to the team.

Cut him thats what i would do. Then maybe Buffalo will sign him and give him a chance after all we did turn an Undrafted TE into a Dominate LT

An undrafted TE is different than a player that can't stay healthy. If we cut him, nothing would make me happier than an AFC East team to eat into their roster space and salary cap by signing him.

How's Manny Wright working out for you?
