I attended the 7:30 practice yesterday, and I want to confirm what I've been hearing from Local Talk show hosts. Harrington looks bad. The guy lacks confidence, takes too long to make decisions(hold's on to the ball too long), and ohhhh boy..... This guy has some of the worst happy feet I've ever seen. Underpressure or Good protection this guy tap dances seconds before releasing the ball. The fans got really upset @ the countless mistakes he made yesterday during 11 on 11 drills

I am sold on DC, but I am very worried about our backup position. Joey reminds me of AJ Feeley, and Griese(when he hurt his foot) out there. At this point I can't tell you who's really better between he or Lemon, but I'd probably lean towards Cleo because IMO he looks more confident, and has a better grasp of the offense. Joey just scares the Hell out of me. All I have to say is fans bettr hope Daunte doesn't go down w/ an injury this year.

Do you think there is a chance Harrington doesnt make the team or that he is left inactive during regular season games?

Give the guy a chance. This is only his first week of practice. He is so mentally damaged from having to play in Detroit his first three years in the league. It's gonna take more than a week undo that kind of damage!

he will make the team, belive me

Of course he will make the team -- and he will play this season. But it sucks to hear that he isn't doing what he needs to do.

Give him some time. If he throws pick 6's, then lets go to his home and tie him up and feed him to Keith Traylor.

Hate to tell you, but many fans of many teams have the same concerns about their backups. NOt many teams have backups that don't really worry them. Given that, at least our starter has some playing experience, let's just hope Daunte can hold his ground this season and not go down for an extended period of time.

Yes exactly! This is only 11 days into training camp...there's a lot to learn for Joey yet...give the guy a break he can't be perfect from the start...

If Harrington was going to look fantastic from the start he would have never been traded, especially not as cheaply as we got him for. He has some damage to be undone from that horrible Detroit franchise, and he has to build a solid foundation from the ground up. It'll take training camp and a good deal of the preseason, but he'll eventually be a serviceable backup. We're not looking at him as a potential future franchise player or starter, just a guy that can help us out in the event DC can't go. Don't be such a chicken little.
