If you don't count the pool house with its own master suite, the living space in the main two-story house adds up to 12,417 square feet, according to construction plans on file with the county.

Add more than 2,800 square feet for the garage and several hundred more for a "mechanical room," the entire house exceeds 21,000 square feet of space.

As long as he's sacking the quarterback 7 or 8 times and forcing 3 or 4 turnovers, he could live in a box for all I care.

oh and not to mention that in Bakersfield, Joey can build that house for what it would cost to live in a cardboard refrigerator box in the Bay Area. And without all the hippies!

Has property values in South Florida gotten that bad to where even local athletes don't wanna invest in it?

You couldn't build a house big enough to get me to move to Bakersfield

That's my hometown, and I feel compelled to defend it, but all I can say is it's better than most middle-of-the-desert towns

Despite wonderl33t's assertive stance, it would appear Bakersfield's odiferous reputation, far precedes it.

Actually..right now would be the perfect time for him to build a house in Miami or somewhere. I know the prices over here are down like crazy. They'll go back up though here sometime in a year or so I'm sure. They always do...

"It's called a game room on the plans, but Sweaney said the nearly 1,900 square feet of space over the Porters' garages will be a self-contained mother-in-law apartment for Joey's mother."

That shows me something about his character. I think he will be a great addition to this team. I was already a huge fan when he was with the Steelers. :D
