If Joey Porter keeps this up, he should be considered for defensive player of the year. He currently leads the league in sacks with 10.5 sacks.

I remember when JT led the league in sacks he was designated as the DPOY.
 
Oh Hell yea man...he is getting after it...i think he is the happiest guy in town about the FO change this off season

Porter is the saving grace of our pass rush. Without him, im not sure what we have there.

I'm extremely pleased with JP's performance. He certainly deserves a Pro Bowl look and belongs in the DPOY conversation.
 
If he keeps playing this way I don't think he should be considered for DPOY...... He should win it hands down. He has done a great job and is the heart of this team along with Pennington IMO.
 
The man is a beast and is a totally different player from last year. Would be nice to see him win DPOY.
 
AWESOME game by Joey Porter! I'm proud to have Joey on the Dolphins now. I might even get me a Joey Porter jersey. It's starting to look like the Dolphins got a heck of a deal picking up Joey from the Steelers. I bet the Steeler fans are ticked off about losing Joey now. :wink:

He sure is filling Jason Taylor's shoes VERY nicely this year. No doubt about it. He should be HIGHLY considered for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year. It's probably a no brainer that he's on his way to another Pro Bowl season.

You da Man Joey! Keep this up! You've got Dolphin Nation backing you up all the way now. :up:
 
Keep in mind guys, he's doing this with a bad back....

Remember he mised alot of the pre-season and we're lucky he's gone this far, not to mention be the best player on defense.

If he deos not get DPOY, he should at least be consider for comeback player of the year and definetley make the probowl
 
I would say Probowl is already a given considering he has already reached his season career high in sacks after this game and were only in week 8! haha :up:
