NEXT UP? FROSTEE AND J. PEEZY
With Titans cornerback Pacman Jones caving on the appeal of the one-year suspension imposed against him in April by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the next guys who'll likely spend some time on Park Avenue are Bengals defensive end Frostee Rucker and Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter are the next guys facing scrutiny for violation of the league's Personal Conduct Policy.

This could be PFT with it old tricks, but we hae been worrying baout it for a while. I hope if he does get penalized it is only a fine.

Need a better title. Porter on Goodell's list? Ya think:confused: Lets keep our fingers crossed for just a fine. It's his first offense right???

First offense = no suspension, if you ask me. Maybe Goodell wants to flex his muscles and give him a game. No way multiple games.

I like the concept of this new personal conduct code... however i dont like how they are punishing players under the new code now for incidents that occurred prior to it being in place. I agree that Pacman Jones should be gone... new or old code. Doesnt matter, that guy has had enough chances. But like... Johnson from the Bears... he was allowed to play in the super bowl... however now he's suspended for 8 games? Same with this porter incident. Doesnt seem like anything too major, happened before this whole personal conduct policy didnt it? I just dont like how theyre going back in time to nail guys with punishments that didnt exist at the time. Im not saying they shouldnt be punished, I just dont like the extents they are going to for past incidents. Any new incidents going forward, sure, punish away. Just something that bothers me I guess..

I agree, ex post facto laws suck.

Whilst ex post facto laws suck, the move to stiffen penalties for off field misdemeanours and crimes was well telegraphed beforehand.
