Joey Porter on Jim Rome Is Burning/Wants to be traded

Porter basically stated the obvious. He isn't happy with his role as a rotation player, he would appreciate being traded, he believes that him at 70% is better than most players at 100%, and that he still has a few good seasons left in him.

And the reason he was deactivated for the Tampa Bay game was because he missed a Friday practice before the game to go out with his family and get something to eat.
 
I think he helped his trade value we might be able to get a 3rd for him....
 
He's asking to be traded because he knows he's going to be cut. His ego won't allow that, hence a trade request. The guy is terrible, and I would argue Cam Wake at 50% is better than JP at 125%. You've lost a step Joey, it happens to everyone. Deal with it. But hey, if Jerry Rice couldn't come to terms with it, I doubt Joey will.................
 
We will not be trading him...Free Agency starts March 5th and he has a $1 million bonus due March 1st...I don't see us paying him $1 million then trading him...I think he'll just get cut and then come back to haunt us on his next team...that just seems to always be the case with the guys who leave our team.
