Joey Porter was just on PTI for 5 minutes. He was talking about how it was disrespectful for the Patriots to punt over their heads, and he guarantees that wont happen on his field. he also mentioned Brandon Marshall and said he was a young guy trying to get face time and he wasnt worried about that. He also mentioned how last year the coaches were not putting the players in the right schemes, and any person who watched football could see that.

i watched it, i f'in love having someone like porter that isnt scared to say something.

It was a very pleasant surprise to put on ESPN and see Joey Porter talking for 5 minutes.

You couldn't have put porter in a worse position than Dom Capers did last year. Its not possible.

punting over their heads is referring to pre-game warmups when each team has half of the field to stretch and warm up. the patriots decided that they would practice their punts by kicking the ball onto our side of the field. joey didn't like that.

Punting over their heads? what does that mean?
Joey was saying the Pats were being rude by not staying on their side of the field during pregame warm-ups by running between players (Dolphin players) streching and kicking balls over them. The Pats need to stay on their side of the field during warm-ups, including kicking.

During pre-game warm-ups the teams were on their halves of the field stretching and whatnot, I guess the NE players were walking through our side of the field and punting over heads and Joey was fuming about it up in their faces about it lol.

He even knocked their ball off the tee LOL.

edit: beat by three others lol

Caught that too. Mostly a rehash of what we've all read but Joey got a few good zingers in there. I remember catching him last year being interviewed by Mad Dog, I think, or whomever, who tried to get him going about underperforming and being misused. To his credit, despite the podium, JP took the party line and sidestepped any criticism although it wasn't hard to discern his frustration.

What he said about Tony stressing "why wait 2 years, why not NOW?" couldn't have better showcased the differences between him and Cam. Good interview.

If I'm Sparano I'm telling all of the players to simultaneously punt balls at the Pats players during pre game activities.

**** them let's have fun and kick their ***.
