Two QB's discarded from Detroit- and for good reason's- mite be starting opening nite Funny Huh?
Herse's hoping that Big Ben gets well soon---i never want to see anyone get hurt

If things stay the way they are right now, with no setbacks, Daunte will play in the season opener.

Why do all of these NFL players get hurt riding motorcycles with no helmets. If I were gettin paid millions to stay healthy i would have more common sense than that.

It's still too early I think to try and speculate how either Daunte or Ben are going to recover from their injuries. I think there is a 85 - 90% chance for Daunte and I just don't know enough about Ben's injuries or how long they are going to take to heal.

Listen to that podcast thread guys. It sounds like the Dolphins are gearing Daunte up to be a full go for training camp!:D

They could hand out t-shirts at the game with their two photos side by side, with the slogan, "Why Detroit Hasn't Won S**t Since the 1950s."

anyone who went to the camp see lemon play at all?

I pray that big ben gets back to 100%.....the guy has so much goin' for him......may not put up Manning type numbers, but he makes the throws when he needs too.....could be a hall of famer one day

I think Ben will probably miss the entire season. These injuries are alot more serious than what they telling the public and media. The guy has facial fractures, broken ribs, knocked out teeth and hurt his knees pretty bad. I expect the Steelers to be making a phone call to Kerry Collins.

I said this when Kellen Winslow JR had his accident, it goes for Ben, though to a lesser extent. We act like these big athletes are so stupid, how if we had those millions we would do things right. If you or I or anybody here were in our early twenties; our physical primes; making all these millions of dollars we would probably do the same damn things. Its not like Ben has a coke addiction, he just likes riding his bike without a helmet. You or I(okay, I would) might not but we would probably be doing something else stupid in the offseason. If I had a few million after bills to play with every year I would have a collection of motorcycles. Its worse for him because Terry Bradshaw warned him about it last year.

I would bet baring a setback with either it will be Big Ben vs Bigger Daunte on opening night.

*is in his 20s*
*is in the physical prime of his life*
*only makes in the 50k range*
*has an R1 crotch rocket*
*ALWAYS WEARS A HELMET*

They need to get it together.

Don't get me wrong I feel bad for Big Ben but you'd think after everyone telling him that he should wear a helmate that he should. It's hard to tell what it's gunna be like for him now that that accident happened

 :fire:yeah, and i would have a collection of helmets too. are you saying it's okay to not think about your future when you're in your 20s? being young and stupid is not a justification. and like you mentioned, he's been warned. now with that, i hope he recovers 100%, but it's highly unlikely (before the season anyway). i wish we could kick their arses with their top players, that way there are no excuses.
