wat would u guys do if we get in to the playoffs and wae either make it to the super bowl or we just are playoff contenders who would u want at are QB position next year? interesting question if cpep is fully healed

Well before the year I said that if we had Joey for all 16 games, we were a playoff team. But if we had a HEALTHY Culpepper all year, we are a Super Bowl contender. So, obviously, I'm taking C-pep.

well my belief is this... if joey brings us to the playoffs.... a qb battle is definetly in order but if we make the superbowl....he better start....because there would be no reason to bench him:D

if Cpep is fully healed I would chose him most definately.

Is the world ready for another Harrington v Culpepper thread? I hope so!

The Chiefs did the same thing with Huard. Eventually, our defense isn't going to play lights out, and Joey will have to beat someone. I don't think he's capable of that. Culpepper was asked to beat the Steelers and would've done it if not for ridiculous coverage allowing an 80 yard TD pass.

I don't look at it as a QB vs QB situation really....

I see things more along the lines of which QB gives us the best chance to win, under the offense we're currently running. Harrington has clearly been the more productive QB in my opinion, and he's still improving to a certain extent. The more time he has behind C, the more comfortable he's become...

I have to go with Harrington....

As for Culpepper, if we lose one more game, we'll likely see him start again later in the season. The coaches have to get a better idea of what they've invested in with Culpepper, and right now they really have no idea what Culpepper is capable of. It's going to be a big investment trying keeping Culpepper around in 2007, and if he's not playing well, why keep him when we have Harrington....

If Saban screwed up trading for Culpepper, then he screwed up, and it's time to move on. No need to drag it out another year if Culpepper doesn't perform up to expectations. Saban isn't GOD, and he makes mistakes, this may have been one of them, but only time will tell....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Joey is 100% and this offense is still bad.

Daunte will be 100% next year so I'd rather keep Daunte.

If Joey wins 9 straight games he deserves a qb competition in camp. Neither are great qb's, but I'm sure we are stuck with one.

It's currently ranked 6th in the AFC, and is averaging 318 yards a game. Only the Colts / Chargers / Steelers / Patriots / and Bengals are ranked higher than Miami. All things considered, that's pretty decent in my opinion...

I don't think Culpepper will ever be 100% again. He's an "injury prone" QB now, and will likely stay that way until he proves otherwise. He's a much bigger risk than Harrington, and the rewards don't currently appear to be worth the investment we intially made when we traded for him. I'm will to wait it out the rest of the year on Culpepper, but if does get his chance again, he better shine if he plans on being employed by the Phinz in 2007....

that is not what is in question...the question was if joey got us to the playoffs and/or superbowl...i believe huard did not bring the cheifs to the playoffs or superbowl....infact he was in for only a couple of weeks.....now if u are sayin if c-pep was heathly now...start him....i would agree with you a 100%....but he not coming back is season....sooo next season, if joey brought the team to the superboowl then no doubt we should start him next year or at least a position battle

That's like saying every player that has an injury becomes injury prone, which just isn't true. Granted, it was a serious injury but if it heals properly it won't be any more vulnerable to injury than his other knee is.

As for the yardage, what good are yards if they don't result in points? You can't tell me that offense looked good in the second half last week. If it wasn't for the Dolphins Defense I seriously doubt we win either of those games.

6 outta 16? But We're Fifteenth in the leauge, outta 32, and that's in total offense. If you look at points scored, which is more important on the offensive side then points allowed on the defensive side, we're 12 outta 16 in the AFC, and 26 outta 32 in the NFC.

Not even close to being decent IMO.

That depends if Culpepper's really healthy and we have an OL that can give him the exorbitant amounts of time he needs to make a throw. As of right now, with our OL, Joey's the right guy for the job.

And Daunte's no Super Bowl caliber QB. He can't take any type of pressure be it mental or physical.

Come on man.......do you really believe it was the 80 yard pass or the pass to Joey Porter for the TD? Or maybe it was the next pick DC threw right after the int for a TD. Face it Daunte is not a Superbowl caliber QB....he makes to many mistakes in clutch situations. If he was that great Minny would never let him go. All the Minny fans were happy to see him leave. The only thing he was ever good for (other than blowing a lead) is as a Fantasy QB. He will throw 10 TDs vs the Cardinals but against the Patsies he will throw 5 picks.
