Just interested to hear how people would rate harrington's proformance in his first start as a Dolphin. All in all i think he did alright.Sometimes he looked good and other times when under presure well you get the picture. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate him?10 being the best.

He did well for what he is, a backup QB.

To me, he was the same old Joey that he's always been in college and as a pro.

It wasn't any surprise that he accounted for one touchdown and one turnover, nor was it a surprise that he came away with a 52% completion and a 5.2 ypa.

If he continues to perform like that then he'll be about on par with what Sage Rosenfels was for us, but not quite up to par with Gus Frerotte. I'm comfortable with that, given our choices at backup QB at the time (Tommy Maddox or Jamie Martin anyone? Didn't think so). Hopefully Daunte will just stay healthy anyway.

Cleo Lemon outperformed Joey in every way, but he did it against mostly 3rd stringers where Joey did it against mostly 2nd stringers and there's a tangible difference there.

Throwing the football he looked pretty good. He seemed to have a good feel for the offense as well. To me he seemed more comfortable than Daunte (of course Daunte was a little rushed due to the knee.) Joey did look nervous at times however like when he dribbled the ball to himself. The first pass to Randy was very nicely thrown ball. All and all, I am pretty confident with Joey as our backup. Should Daunte go down for a short period of time, Joey can fill the void especially if it were in a weak spot of the schedule. I'll give Joey a 6.5 in that first game. But again, I was pleased with Joey's performance.

He played well. He looked good. Too bad about the bad snap he couldn't control. He almost had his head torn off on the missed face mask violation.
I think Joey is a great back-up QB.

I've seen this multiple times and I really have absolutely no idea how anyone concludes that based on two passes. One of those passes was a clear miscommunication where Chambers cut the slant route short and Daunte thought he would keep on going.

I'd give 'em a 7. He's throwin the skin like he's suppose to. I dunno about the rest of yall, but I was definetly pleasantly surprised. Hagan is my biggest worry. The guy is not as quick as I thought he'd be- couldn't get open. All in all, it's only the first game.
:fh:

how could u say he looked more comfortable in the pocket? i would look more comfortable in the pocket. joey looks like he has add out there. also i dont know if its designed maybe reading half the field and he did hit at least 1 hot route, but he seems to at this point lock on to his primary read. not to mention the happy feet...that said ck hit it id rather have him than anyone else, just needs coaching and confidence

But based on this consensus, Daunte was just rushed and was quick to get rid of the ball. I'm not complaining with it at all, just pointing out the fact. The first one, the I'm not sure the O line was there. The second pass was the same but I was happy with the way Daunte checked down quickly and avoided the loss and turned it into positive yardage. I see what you mean CK.

joey will get better when he throws to the first stringers.........he needs guys who run there routes to completion and arent afraid to catch the ball? anyone see hagans play? wait till campbell is back and joey hooks up with all that speed.....Whew:fire:

I give em a 6, but I do feel alot more comfortable with him as a backup then feeley or gus

I would give a 5. He looked uncomfortable in the pocket, never set his feet. Joey definitely was motivated, maybe to much, I don't know. He had some droped passes, no question, but unfortunately not only by his receivers. But that's ok for the first game with new receivers.
If he calms down, he should be fine but until than, I feel as uncomfortable with him as he does in the pocket.

Id give him a 7 since Jacksonville is a tough defensive squad and Joey is new to our offense and he was still able to sling a td pass anyway.I think he can develop into a good qb.
