John Beck admits he doesn't like Bill Parcells

That fumble play is pretty hilarious no matter how you slice it.

I was so embarassed to be a dolphins fan that day..I cant imagine how bad Beck must have felt..Not to mention he was benched the rest of year following that play... John Beck always fit a west coast style of offense the best...He may flourish...

Does Beck have the moxy and toughness to go into NY, NE or Buffalo and beat them? Idk I guess I would trust Chad Henne more than Beck. Its not easy going to bad weather stadiums and throwing the ball all over the place...

WTF has John Beck done to warrant a comment like this:

“I love football,” Beck said. “I love playing the game. I love standing in there on third down and getting whacked in the chin and completing a pass and quieting the crowd. When you’re playing on the road and it’s third down and they’re screaming, and you can rip a pass in there and get it and shut em all up? I love it.

You get a freaking vote of confidence from Shanahan -- and this is what you've got? REALLY? I'd like to know when he conducted the aforementioned pass, IN THE NFL.

I was pretty pissed that Beck didnt get more of a shot..But I can understand why Miami drafted Chad Henne...Had they had Pennington on the roster before the draft maybe they dont draft Penny.. But to demand your release come on? John you were not ready to play at that time..To say to yourself you dont wanna be a backup, yea thats understandable but you have to think team first...Work toward it...

I was rooting for John before now I hope he fails ..
I don't hold that against him at all. He knew he wasn't their guy and that they weren't going to give him a legitimate shot at playing. It's the same reason Thigpen wouldn't sign an extention.

i thought Beck was getting better but his better wasn't good enough..

i hate to say it but henne reminded me of beck last year!!
lets hope the Bahama vacation and the new year fresh perspective and change of offense
can strike a cord and henne finds himself to be the real deal..

otherwise the dolphins will be paddling up ****s creek!

The guy never got a fair shot in Miami . . . period.

Classic example of Dolphin fans, criticizing Bill Parcells left and right nowadays but then still abiding by his "If they don't bite as puppies" philosophy. Alot of double standards around here . . . and as expected, any QB that does anything next season from this draft will cause people to question the front office and their "lack of an eye for talent" or for not "taking chances", not factoring in system, or state of the team. Stats only matter when using it as an argument, and the argument seems to be whatever QB has a better stat line than whoever is starting as the Dolphins QB, regardless of the other QB's that don't do anything.

John Beck may end up failing miserably in Washington, starter or not, but damn its good to see somebody else see the potential in the kid, and the kid has obviously worked hard to give himself another chance after a rocky start here in Miami. I mean what he started with 2 murderous road games @ Philly and @ Pittsburgh . . . @ home against a division rival Jets team and @ Buffalo. Got benched and put on a pretty good performance against Cincy at the end of the year and then we give up on him.

You know, maybe John Beck wasn't a lost cause . . . remember the same guys that got rid of him haven't developed a young QB since . . . maybe he will surprise a few of you . . . . rooting for him to fail is just plain stupid if you ask me, I wish the guy well.

Hey it is what it is, but maybe, just maybe . . . he is a better QB 3 years down the road from his rookie season.

Agreed. I don't know that Beck will do well. He may be horrible, but I find it funny how three years isn't enough time to see what Robocop has, but four games on a significantly less talented team was plenty of time for Beck.

I am as high on Henne as anybody on this site, but in all honestly, based on watching this regime for 3 years . . . I would be more surprised to see him turn it around under these guys than him leaving and turning it around . . . because I could see that. I'm hoping Daboll can just get in a good sync with his still relatively young QB, because god knows I couldn't take another year of Henne/Henning, and after this year, I will know if I can take anymore of Henne . . . he needs to improve and he gets one more shot to do so and seeing the options out there, I am cool with that.

I remember that fumble returned for a TD and it's really hilarious watching it right now, lol.
