I still believe that John Beck is still the future of this team, you have to understand something, when he came in last year he was playing on arguabley the worst team in NFL history, playing behind a sub-par but pretty poor pass protection offense line, with no wide receiver threats at all and ronnie brown was hurt and not to mention our coaching was horrible, the kid has a quick release, he's smart, mobile, good footwork, we just need to give him time, merril hodge said last year that john beck is by far the best qb in the draft, and he said he was more equipped to succeed than brady quinn, atleast 15 nfl teams had him rated higher on there board than quinn, he studys the playbook religously and alwys has his wife quiz him on plays, mark my words John Beck is going to prove everybody wrong this year....just watch

I hope he is still the future QB. People keep basing him off of what four games? Also, we need to find some stability at the QB position, why not let it be him? He has all the tools to succeed.

I couldnt agree with you more. I think Beck is going to turn into a really great QB, we just need to give him the weapons.

Cant agree more. i dont know y people hate on him. look at his games last year & the supportin cast, no chance 2 succede there as rookie.

John Beck is going to be a good QB in this league for years to come. They threw him into the mix last year under some crucial situations ie. (at Pittsburg in the rain, at Philly) and luckily did not demoralize this guy. This guy has a strong arm, and doesnt make bad decisions and on top of all that is smart. I look forward to watching this guy for many years to come.

This discussion does not matter as long as we have a below average offensive line. There are still two positions to be filled before I even care about the talent level of our QB.

In 2008, expect a stronger, faster, and smarter John Beck. It wouldn't shock me at all if Beck was a team captain next year.

We were real bad but from a talent standpoint we were nowhere near the worst in the history of the NFL, from a coaching and executionstandpoint I guess we were real bad.

thats why they should draft J. Long

All dolfans will love John Beck soon enough, lets not worry about the few that are'nt supportive or understanding what that kid had to go thru last year.

Not only did he have the worst supporting cast on offense and defense the nfl has ever seen, he was subconsiously sabatoged by non committed non connected so called miami dolphin football players....he had no shot, but i still saw a kid get up and rally his team with the rookies that are here for the future.

I was literally stading up in the sports bar excited as hell as to what i was seeing. people were asking what the heck are you so excited for, your the worst team ever they said, i replied yeah! that might be the case but i just saw our quarterback of the future........ i was smilin from ear to ear.

A wicked delivery, deceptive arm strength, beautiful accuracy, can buy time with his feet and scramble, will bleed for his team, has got all the intangibles...

John Beck is gonna be a star and he's all ours.

YES!!!! THIS WOULD BE SPLENDID!!!!!!!

If you look at his mechanics, they speak for themselves. If we bring in some guys to solidify the o-line, keep our backfield healthy, and get some receivers that can actually hold on to the ball (not talking about Ginn here), I really think that Beck will be able to get it done. He's smart, he's going to be stronger and faster, and he's fluent in another language. Maybe he can teach the rest of the team Portuguese so that Bellichick and Co. won't be able to steal any of our signals:woot:

Where do you work and what do you do?

Would you be willing to risk your job on John Beck being the QB of the future for this team?

If you are intelligent and honest, there is no way that you could say "yes" to that question.

I "hope" that John Beck is the next Fran Tarkenton. I hope it like hell. But we have to draft a QB and we have to draft one early. We cannot count on either John Beck and/or Josh McCown being our starting QB. I hope they are both great, but to expect it is asinine.

If we can't trade down, I think we have to take Matt Ryan at #1. We need everything, but nothing will matter if we don't get our QB position solved.

And if all three guys are good, then we can trade one. Look at Matt Schaub...all he did was play good in some preseason games and paid off big for the Texans.

If we get Ryan, I would envision the scenario playing out where JM and JB battle it out in preseason and whomever wins the competition is the starter and the other is the #2. Eventually, MR should be #2 and by mid or late season, MR should be given his chance to start. Then we can see if we've solved the position. If not, we have to keep drafting/trading until we get it fixed.

Look at the top teams in the playoffs. The Giants, Packers, Seahawks, Colts, Chargers, and Patriots all have outstanding QBs. The reason the Saints and Steelers have a chance to be good next year is because they have good QBs. Generally speaking, you can have a good QB and suck, but you can't have a QB that sucks and be good.

Until we get a good QB (and we don't/can't possibly know that we have a good one on this team.
