While I thoroughly understand that there is no shortage of Drew Brees threads, quite frankly, I am too giddy at the mere prospect of obtaining him to not post this. Last night's sportscenter, Clayton was being asked about several big-name free agents, and when Brees' name came up he said something along the lines of "I think he will be a Miami Dolphin, it seems to be the best fit as they are near contending, with maybe Detroit making a small push"

Hey, at least somebody else is on our bandwagon.

cool, aslong as his arm is ok I would love him. Then tell Gus to take a paycut and compete with him(we all know Brees would end up starting with the money he would make), if he won't cut him amd resign Sage, or maybe hope Brock Berlin makes good progress or who knows, maybe Ramsey or McNown will be there cheap to be Brees backup.

Brees is going to be a Dolphin! I have no doubt about that

BREES! HUTCHINSON! BENTLEY! OWENS! PETERSON!

FANTASY FOOTBALL BABY!!!!

Sorry I got excited.

When you think of what would be the best situation for Brees, and the teams that he'll have to choose from, Miami is certainly one of the most attractive. I think that will play a large role in where Brees ends up, more so than just any team offering him more cash in the process....

I know if I had a choice between Miami / Detroit / Baltimore / NY Jets, I'd choose Miami without hesitation. Not based on being a biased Phinz fan, but because of the direction Miami is heading, and the opportunity that awaits...

PHINZ RULE!!!

I would love to see him with the Dolphins. I think he is the best of the opions regularly mentioned. He's the best of the likely free agents and who knows how good a draftee will be or how long long a draftee they will take to develop. Plus I can't see Nick Saban blowing draft choices on a re-tread QB (based on his numerous comments on the value of draft picks).

However, a word of caution, I am far from convinced that the Chargers won't resign him, they have cap space and they surely can't want AJ Freely as their back-up QB.
