Well, this may be old news but Clayton said just a few minutes ago that the Brees/Dolphins signing is at a stalemate and if no deal gets done by tonight or tomorrow they may pull the trigger on Culpepper.
Well, here we go again fans. Let's wait a little while longer!!

Wow, this sounds like we are talking about last week......only that was the CBA................................and I thnk I'm losing my mind.

hmmm... im interested as to where the stalemate is occuring... 7 million, 8+? I would be willing to slightly overpay for this chance, when a big time QB at27 hits the market, to speed up the process in our quest for the Super Bowl.... guess Saban/Mueller aren't, or they are just playing some Cold War, "who blinks 1st" hardball~

I, for one, hope that Miami holds strong and doesn't break the bank for this guy. IMO, there is no guarantee that he will come back strong(although I think he will). It doesn't make good business sense at this point to spend so much for him. Miami made awesome gains last year. It would be a shame to spend 10 million/year on a guy and have him become another Pennington.

I say if Brees wants the money let him go. Let's sign T.O. and Givens and with those weapons even Gus could go to the pro bowl. By the way if Saban sends a draft pick, any draft pick to Minny for a player who IS NOT allowed to be given a physical, he's a moron.

I have been trying to do a paper for the last two days but i can only seem to hit the reload button to see if there is any news

I think Saban may be bluffing about signing Daunte, given the fact that we can't get a physical, to make Brees squirm a bit. And if what I hear is right, and we have laid the deadline as tonight.................Brees is really going to have to think if that extra money is worth going to New Orleans.

Man, the waiting stinks, but I got to believe that Mule and Saban will get their man. While I'll be upset if the Saints miss out on Brees, at least Saban will finally have someone who can get the ball to Chambers.

Maybe we can give him Ricky Williams to seal the deal? Ricky is into hollistic medicine. Perhaps Brees could use the free massages on his shoulder.

This is crazy!! I think my wife is going to leave but i can't pay enough attention to her to really be sure what she's yappin' about. I'm glued to :fh:

If anything, I'm sure Ricky has something that will ease the pain:lol:

I'm wondering too, if Saban & co. are just trying to bide their time. We all know that Miami is definately the better option as far as playing for a quality team and maybe they are just waiting to see if this sinks in for Brees. Nobody is gonna give up a 2nd rd pick for Daunte given the circumstances at this time. So Brees basically has too essentially ask himself "More money terrible team, or less money much better team?"
