John Madden retires

With Favre gone, his biggest cheerleader now follows. NBC will probably slot Collinsworth into Madden's old spot. Ugh.
 
I wonder if his health is failing. He says it's time, for family reasons, but I wonder?
 
Great guy, an icon of the sport but I did not like listening to his commentary. I got tired of listening to him stating the obvious all the time, but he will be missed in the booth.
 
I actually like Cris Collingsworth in the booth...I think hes been absolutely atrocious in the studio for NBC...I remember him back calling Notre Dame games all the way through to Fox and I think hes one of the better color guys...But I think my opinion might leave me in the minority...

I like Joe Buck the best.
 
I always thought for the longest time that Joe Buck was a huge lumberjack looking guy and then I saw him and he looks like he should have been on Revenge of the Nerds
