John Madden's take on Steelers/Dolphins

yeah, who would've thought:lol: It probably wasn't him writing the article, though. He was probably rambling his thoughts to a journalist on the breakdown of each team with a translator next to him. (I don't really watch South Park, but this made me think of the contender episode with Sylvestor Stallone and translator who translated his mumbling, I thought it was hilarious). The journalist then changed what he recorded from Madden into a coherent, and clear article.

Does Madden have a ghostwriter? I like Madden I've just never heard him put an argument together that well, atleast not without circling a few sweat stains. I think he makes a lot of sense, he certainly knows football. I'm just glad he's showing off his knowledge more the last couple of years, instead of rehashing his whacky anecdotes, which were getting old. I think he's been exceptional since he's been teamed with Al Michaels.

Guess he ran out of web space and couldn't mention the Dolphins D and Phins defensive play makers.

I liked Madden broadcasting Monday night Football. Al Michaels was a great announcer and Madden was the clown with some football knowledge. I think they complemented each other well. Sometimes Madden tried to be funny, but most of the times he wasn't trying to be funny, but he was.

He still had one really bad Maddenism in the article talking about how we were going to come after Batch on passing plays, but focus on Willie Parker in running situations.

The key will be whether he and Miami's line can handle the Steelers' defensive rush.
No doubt the key matchup of the game.

theres a poll on that page as to how many games the phins will win this year..

Well, except for :

I watched every preseason game of the Dolphins and was watching to see if there was anything that might indicate that his knee wasn't fully healed.

I haven't gotten that sense at all as he hasn't missed a practice, took every snap possible in training camp, played in every preseason game and performed well. He would drop back, get hit and still make the throw.

Did he get Pep and Cleo confused in the Rams game?

Scanned the whole piece over and over...and nope, not one mention of Brett Favre. Consider me shocked!
