John Offerdahl, AJ Duhe, and Zach Thomas are

the Linebackers that have made the dolphins defense fun to watch all these years. These guys have formed a tradition of exceptional linebacking in Miami and I hope it will continue. Thanks again Zach for all the great plays and just being a Dolphin.:up:
 
Dude...how could you forget the linebacker that started it all. Nick Buoniconti who is presently the only one in the HOF.
 
What about Bob Matheson.

They named the damn defense after #53!

Bob wasn't a great LB for us. He was a situational LB/DE that excelled at what he did. Mike "Captain Crunch" Kolen and Doug Swift were better. As was Bryan Cox.

Dude, I'm just so psyched that someone mentioned A.J. Duhe's name. He's always been one of my top 5 favorite dolphin players of all time. mainly because he was an absolute JET killer! I find it weird that I don't see him mentioned much on this site or anywhere else for that matter. Thanks!!

Fair enough. Wasn't comparing who was better. Just rolling with who was fun to watch. Point of the thread.

Doug Swift was one of my faves as a kid. Still have his card.

But Cox was exciting. Lots of fire that guy. Nice too. Met him several times and he was always more than willing to sign and talk.
 
Offerdahl and Cox was great while i was growing up... loved watching them!!!

Thomas is definitely my #1 favorite without a doubt though.

The thing that STILL amazes me is the fact that people are spelling ZacH's name ZacK. The dude's been here for 12 years and I know everyone here has read that name hundreds of times. Inexcusable IMO.
 
Z. Thomas is still by far the best LB we will have for years and years to come.
