Gentlmen... I want to have a few words with everyone that is on the team and those that wish to join the team... And I want to do this in a public forum so everyone understands my stance on this...
I started this effort back in February. My vision then is my vision now... And that vision was to get as many players from this board as possible to play some good ole fashioned tackle football.
My vision was to develop several teams from this board that could play some ball in a venue that has another NFL Fan base. I.E. FINFANS in California could play against the RAIDERS, 49ERS and CHARGERS fansites. And the same with Florida and Ohio and New York, etc.
Now I know that I was elected, well let's say the default, Head Coach as I actually paid for and organized our first game. It took me over $5,500.00 to get 9 people to Florida to play this game in the hopes that it would spark a movement to make my vision happen... AND IT DID!!!:bighug:And I thank all of you that participated and took time out of your life to make this happen... And I am so frickin happy to see that this thing is moving forward as we have challenged and received confirmation of 2 games with our division rivals!!! This makes me very proud and thankful of all of you that were part of the original teams!!! With that being said though, I would like to clarify a few things about being a part of the team and joining this team...
EVERYONE that wishes to JOIN this team will be welcomed to do so!!! I don't care if we have 75 members on this team! If another wants to join, he WILL BE WELCOMED!!!
This does not mean that he is automatically playing in the next game. It does not mean that he will be participating or even attending the next game. But what it does mean is that he is available to play in a game in the future. And if we have a member that lives in the area that we are visiting/playing, that member WILL get the opportunity to play in the game!!!
Now this DOES NOT mean that the original 17, 14 players and 3 coaches, will be replaced with said members. It only means that we have some depth for each player on the field.
We have our fixtures at every position now and that is the "A" team. I would much rather have the "A" team focus on their individual jobs on the field and not have to play multiple positions. That makes for a very talented and experienced team. And in the case that one of our Fixtures can't make a particular game, we have some coverage.
Bottom line is this gents... NO MAN will be refused in joining this team!!! I would LOVE to have enough players to post a team in every venue in the NFL!!! This DOES NOT mean that the "A" team will not be there, it only means that we have players available for those that can not be there... I see this thing growing into many games around the states and I am sure that we all can't get to everyone of them...
IF you all disagree with this then please let me know. You can do so in this thread or you can PM me... Which ever you feel more comfortable with...
