OK, ENOUGH with this nonsense. This used to be a place for intelligent conversation, badinage between friends and a decent community full of knowledgeable football fans coming together for a common goal - the Dolphins. Yes of course you would get the odd thread from left field, but over the past 6 months, the intelligence level in posting has gone from the sublime and is now firmly entrenched in the ridiculous.

First of all, the place has been filled with new posters, which is great and something Andrew and George would advocate strongly. But at the risk of losing the long time veteran posters, I implore you to THINK about what you are writing.

Don't write in text speak. This is a website not a cellphone. If you think someone sucks, then the word is SUCKS not SUX. Speak properly for God's sake. That said, writing "Sucks" about someone spells out exactly what's wrong with your post.

As for the quality of what's contained in these posts, it's utterly laughable. I'll come onto the college game and the posting there in a minute, but the NFL posts are so substandard as to be utterly ridiculous. If I read another "RONNIE BROWN IS A BUST" post, I will leave this forum and never return. Most of you have ABSOLUTELY no idea about football. Brown is 2 GAMES into his career, trying to run behind one of the most stagnant offensive lines I have seen in 20 years of watching football. He missed the majority of training camp. He isn't a player that will adapt as quickly to the league as Carnell Williams. Williams is a sandlot runner for want of a better phrase. He has the back-yard moves that will bring instant success. Which we've seen. He also is playing behind a solid OL. You don't judge whether people are busts till the end of year 2. I remember less than a decade ago that it was year 3 - take a look at Eric Moulds who struggled tremendously his first 2 seasons and then burst into being one of the games finest midway through year 3.

To log in today and read a post that said that Brown could be cut after this season is utterly ridiculous. I mean embarrassingly pathetic. I pray that the person posting it was being ironic, but somehow I think not.

Saban is an idiot, Gus Sux, blah blah blah……NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Judging anyone on 2 games is foolhardy. If you have a criticism, form an argument. Use some brainpower and wordpower. You know…….stuff you learned at high school or college.

The same applies with college football. The majority of you seem to either hear names bandied about in the media or catch the odd highlight on College Gameday and suddenly annoint them either as a #1 pick or utterly useless, without EVER seeing the guy play. It's so stupid. Take the raft of "Leinart Sucks" posts last week. Juvenile in extremis.

Ruining this excellent website would, I thought, have taken a hell of a lot. But at the moment, this is what's happening.

THINK before you post garbage or I will campaign in the strongest possible terms to have you kicked out and if that doesn't happen, then you will lose the majority of great posters that have helped build this place.

Shape up for God's sake.

Thanks Boomer.

However, and you probably already know this, DUCK!!!

Way to go Boomer. Bring it back to reality. Ronnie Brown is the future of this program at the RB position and will be fine once he adapts to the speed of the game and gets a little space to run in behind our o-line. Speaking of the offfensive line. We need to remember that this team is a work in progress. Almost 50% of the players are new, the coaching staff is new, the schemes, both offensive and defensive are new and will require time to get clicking. When responding to the earlier predictions, I guessed our team would have between 6-9 wins and I still stick behind that number. We are not going to win every game and only our 1972 team has ever had that distinction in this sport. Onto the Nick Saban issue. The man is going to be the savoir of this team. He thinks the game through and adapts to the game while it is being played. You have got to love those qualities in a coach. He is not concerned with the immediate, but the future.

well, ok, as long as we move Ronnie to tight end before we cut him and we sign Jeff George and Zach is moved to SS and ...

Here here!!

I've been coming to this site for quite some time but I haven't posted until recently. It's amazing to see the amount of absurd threads saying this person stinks, that person sucks, etc. This is not Madden football. You can't plug in a guy and just have him play for you. Most of our guys are in this system for the first time, under a new coach, with a whole new attitude. There will be a learning curve. Please remember that when we may have a couple of weeks where our boys don't look too sharp.

Being a fan is about supporting your team, win or lose. I don't much care who is behind center, or who is running the ball, or who is catching it. I care about the jersey and the outcome of the game. If they win, outstanding, if not, better luck next week. Let's stop the madness because there are some very knowledgable posters here being drowned out by insipid fly-by-night monday morning qb's.

No worries Dub, but to be honest, I could care less. I'm sick to death of trawling through the waste to get to something decent, that I've stopped bothering at all. And I'm not the only one.

People only have to read the decent journalists or listen to our players or the other teams players to see how good Saban will be for this team.

Boston press last week - "within 3 years Saban will make New England very very afraid".

Len Pasqarelli - "Miami were the best coached team the ESPN people saw all summer"

Jon Vilma - "Miami were better, stronger, fitter, faster, more aggresive, than at any point last season".

Frankly I think it's pretty sad that people are intent on ruining this place with nonsense.

u do realize, just because they post, doesnt mean u have to read....posts like this also clog the board so youre just as bad as them

It means that I have to cut through the nonsense to find something worth reading.

Why am I as bad as them? I mean seriously? This isn't intended as a board clogging post, it's meant to inform people that what's been happening is unacceptable and as a longtime poster, collaborator and friend of the people that run it, I'd say I have every right to clog up the board if it helps straighten people out.

First time poster here, long time reader and I would like to ask Boomer to stay around because without your posts through the slow times (training camp etc) I would have nothing to fuel my fire. Thier So please keep up the good work and stick around. All the seasoned veterans make this sight so from a true rookie thanks.

You couldn't be further from the truth.
This post should be mandatory reading.

I honestly believe that the TOS should be updated. I am twice as upset w/ what has happened to this board than I am what happened in NJ on Sunday.

Alot of this same nonsense is why I left ESPN Miami's board months ago to never return. The inmates had started to run the asylum. I think most of the stuff on here is kneejerk reactions from fans that had outrageous expectations for a team in transition. The first week lambasting of Denver had people dreaming big dreams. A poorly played loss to a bitter rival, along with a highly touted rookie struggling a bit has some people venting. A big game from Ronnie along with a win should put things right. Cadillac looks like the better player right now, who knows he might always be, but thats no reason to start burning Ronnie Brown jerseys, RB is still going to be great, he is just going to take longer.
