Jonathan Martin gets deal to write his memoir

People will probably buy it just so they can find more stuff to continue whining about. Most of the chumps involved have been gone for years now. Good riddance. Now move on.

It's weird that he doesn't, but people will continue to post updates about him forever. I, for one, am happy it all happened. He was a terrible tackle. If it didn't happen, this staff has shown a tendency to stick with offensive linemen who clearly aren't capable. How long would they have stuck with Martin? Would we have gotten Albert or drafted James? Further, it was a huge mark against Ireland. Would he still be here if it didn't happen? I'd guess at least another year beyond the unfortunate time we kept him anyways.
 
I'm well known as a JMart apologist on this forum, just because I always thought (and still do) that his breakdown/walkout came about from honest mental issues, rather than any plot to shakedown the league or the team.

Having said that, if this book contains a bunch of insider gossip (e.g. Pouncey's crackhouse or Incog's brothel, etc.) designed to monetize his misfortune at the expense of his former teammates (especially while they're still playing), I too will officially consider him a snake.
