Thanks for posting. Take away Columbo's sacks allowed and the line suddenly looks pretty good.

Vernon is on there also. Dude had 10 1/2 sacks the year before last when he was suspended.

i havent been impressed with what i saw from vernon but i havent watch a whole lot of the guy, so i trust the u fans on here that he is good

He hasn't had the proper coaching. He has good potential.

Not sure where you're getting the 10 1/2 sacks in 2010, but that's not the case. He had 5-6. I think 10 1/2 is his career total. Still it's not indicative of his ceiling, and I think he's a solid pick.

He had 10.5 sacks in 2010, but only 3.5 sacks in 6 games in 2011 because of the scandal.

My mistake. he had 6 sacks , 10 1/2 tackles for loss. Still he's a good pick.

"During his career at Miami, the 6-foot-2, 251-pound Vernon recorded 81 tackles (51 solo), nine sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss. He also forced one fumble and recovered one fumble.

Vernon’s best season came as a sophomore in 2010 when he notched 39 tackles (25 solo) and a career-high six sacks while starting 11 of 13 games at right defensive end. He added 10.5 tackles for loss but he feels like he left something to be desired at UM"​

Martin needs to get stronger over the next couple of years. 20 reps on the bench press is NOT very good. There are safeties who bench press that.
 
Martin fits exactly what Philbin's offense will be. Quick and agile linemen who can get to the edge and the 2nd level in the run game.

You don't have to be a mauler in Philbin's offense, so Martin's lack of push off the snap will be compensated by his quickness and intelligence.

Great pick because Martin is already 1000 times better than Colombo in pass protection!

he does have very long arms which could make it harder for him. but your right
 
As much as I hate to draft another lineman relatively early, the right side of our line was a complete disaster. I think this was pretty much necessary. Sounds like he needs to hit the weight room, though.
